♥ "Oh, the lovely fickleness of an April day!" :-)

(Source) **

Well, that was nice.  A few days off, from any *duty* to post, read, or comment in blogs.  And now I hope I can come back, at my own pace.

(Source)

"Why bother blogging?"  Have you read that question, in Pretty Blog Land?  Have you wanted to ask it yourself?  "Why bother...?"♥  Myself, I can only think of one reason.  Because you/I/we enjoy doing so!!!

~~~~~~~~
 Do people come by, and read what you post?  (Check stats for this.)♥    Do people bother to leave comments?  (You see this, every day.)♥    Regardless of the answers to the questions above...  Do you have fun, with blogging?  When we give a YES, we blog.  When we give a NO, we don't.
~~~~~~~~

The only person we are intent on satisfying, impressing, making jolly, is our self.
In my view, that is.  :-))))))))

What'cha'think?  Ever wonder "Why do I bother blogging?"  Ever answer your own question, to your own satisfaction?  Ever not?  Would you please share your views?  Please and thank you.

**Thank you for coming down here, following the little **, under the first pic above.  :-)  I just love that first picture above.  Is it a little girl, taking a walk in the heavy grasses, accompanied by her trusty white/gray sheep dog?  At first, I thought the round light color to the right, was the moon.  And the setting was at night.  Which was even more interesting.  But now, I see...... It's blue sky we see, through the trees, on either side of her.   What do you Dear Reader see, in this painting?

Good morning, Auntie! I'm back for a bit - yes, I know exactly what you mean. I miss blogging and keeping up with dear friends such as yourself. But work piles up AND things I want and need to do - like gardening and helping Dad build my chicken coop ( tee-hee ) so I've been away. But when I'm gone, I actually miss you all. I've wondered at times if blogging is just spinning my wheels, but then I come back and see what's going on in your lives, and feel terrible because I've missed some fun, some problem, some sadness, some excitement. And I'm ready to go again! So, dear lady, I'm glad you're still here and I'm hoping you'll hang around with your quips and quotes and beautiful artwork! (Love Carl Larson by the way...)

Welcome back Auntie.
I first started blogging in 2005 when my husband was first diagnosed with lymphoma. I have been blogging ever since. I can go back in my blogs several years to find answers. Some of my blog is very painful for me to read as it chronicles the last stages of my husband's illness. I have made so many bogging friends through the years, met a few of them in person, talked to several on the phone, etc. I LOVE blogging.

Hi Auntie

Glad that you had a great day with family yesterday.

Why blog - well I think of it as another creative outlet. A place to journal and share stories and photos. I do love it when people comment - it makes it worth while but I do it for the sake of doing it. Never a chore for me.

I comment because I want to - after my initial shyness comments just come naturally.

Thanks for making me think!

BTW - Flyboy loved the card too

I love reading blogs always and blogging (posting) most of the time. Some days when I'm very busy, I just have to ignore blogging. But then at the end of the day, and because I'm a night owl anyway, I'll find myself reading blogs. It's relaxing to me. I love to read other's ideas, recipes, see their photos, etc.

As for commenting, I get way, way more lookers than comments. It can get a bit annoying if I let it, so I try not to check Site Meter too much. I just wish they'd at least say "I was here" or something! I TRY to leave comments always, but realize sometimes one is too busy to do so.

I love the artwork and your header. It looks to me like a little girl just stepping out of the forest into a clearing in the pic you mentioned.

Enjoy your day!

As you know, I am taking a break from posting. I still like reading and commenting when I can, tho.

I think when we enjoy blogging, our posts show it....we are full of ideas and plans and can't wait to share. Then, as with me right now, we have lots of things going on in the real world and lose a little interest in blogging, for the time. That's when BREAKS are allowed. :))

I absolutely love these paintings. So country and springlike. Makes me melancholy for home.

I blog because I can. It is a freedom not all enjoy. Being able to write things, that is. And I enjoy it. How many goats can say that? :)

looks like a little girl playing in the tall grass. the header is pretty but when I see these type photos, I always think Thank You Lord I did not live back then. the thought of reading a book with a hat and a miserable dress on makes me shudder. they are beautiful to look at. about the blogging question, i do it because i love it, I am addicted to it and need my fix of posting and reading and commenting and reading comments in my email. i do sometime get weary and take a day off, i tried to take a week off but lasted until the third day and was back on here. i get a little lost if my email is not dinging off and on all day. now if i were working that would be a idffernt story and also if i had family here other than hubby and 2 dog, i would probably not be on here so much.

I have kept a journal for years and years and now I just blog it. I just like blogging and writing about my days. I would blog even if others didn't read it but like when they do and getting comments always brightens my day! : )
I started for friends and family but not many of those people even read it.
I have a made many blogging friends and my life is just that much happier because of all of them. So very glad that you are one of them.

So much going on in that picture!! I like the expression on the face of the little girl in the lower left corner.

What dog, I don't see a dog!! I do so love all the lovely art work you post on your blog. I started to blog to document my adventures. My intent was for my children to read it, they very seldom do, but my personal friends, and blog friends like you do. And I appreciate all the comments.

Hello
I thought the picture looked as though it was cast in day time and that you can see the light through the trees - not sure why the young girl is hanging back - she looked a bit pensive to me?
I blog just as a bit of fun and it's a sort of book diary. I used to keep a log of what books I'd read and my thoughts on them on a file on my computer but the file became corrupt and I lost everything :( It was my husband who first set up my blog just for me to ramble along on - and I've made 'electronic' friendships with lots of other bloggers as a result and enjoy their conversations/thoughts.
Stay well
Lynn :D
