Then RUN, don't walk, to the nearest copy of "The Winter Sea" by Susanna Kearsley.
~From a Review on Good Reads... ~
"Historical fiction at its best and Susanna Kearsley at hers, The Winter Sea evokes the writing of Thomas Raddall, Daphne Du Maurier, and Mary Stewart."
Yes, I've also completed "The Violets Of March"...
But for now, I'll let you find a copy of "The Winter Sea," and get yourself happily immersed in it. Oh please do! Please do! Please do!!! :-)))
"To read a writer
is for me
not merely to get an idea of what he says,
but to go off with him
and travel in his company."

It would be a dream come true for me to be able to visit real castle ruins, especially in England, Ireland or Scotland!! I've always been fascinated with castles and their history. That book certainly does sound like it was a wonderful read, I've written down the title and if I ever get back into reading books, it will be one of the first I get:-)
Have a wonderful day, dear Auntie. Sunny and cool here this morning but it's supposed to warm up nicely by lunch time. xoxo
Ah, castle ruins in Ireland...a dream come true for me.
This cold is finally on its way out, thank goodness. Took off yesterday and stayed under the covers. Back at work today and the AC is working. Hip, hip hooray.

I actually have walked around castle ruins when I lived in Scotland.
I'll put The Winter Sea on my list which keeps getting longer and longer. : )
I usually put your books near the top though because all the ones I've read that you've recommended I loved too.
I must ck at our local library and see if they have this one. I don't read much in the summer but will keep it in mind, come wintertime.:)
hugs, bj
I always enjoy a book recommendation and a visit to such an interesting site where books are being discussed. Do you enjoy romance novels? I am not a fan and don't get into the Gabaldon books for that reason. Is this anything like that?
Well I know that you and I have similar tastes so it's going on my wish list:)
Love your peonies!
Leann
I am totally getting this book. Is it a romance? A mystery? Should I recommend it to the book club?
Have a great weekend!
blessings,
karianne
Thanks friend! I read about it on the link :)
