(First blossom on 'Old Rose,' which goes by the name of 'Joseph's Coat Of Many Colors')
OK... OK... OK... I had my little *Grump.* In my last post.
It was referring to, all the Visitors I got (on that post). But the many fewer Comments, which I got (on that post).
Every time someone clicks onto my blog, it shows as a Visitor. Number-of-comments is obvious, to all since they show up, under posts.
I tend to get Visits, which are about 3 times, the number of comments, I get.
I BLOG BECAUSE IT IS FUN...!
I do NOT blog, for comments. Or to get more Followers. Or etc., etc., etc.
Once in a while, I get a *Grump-on*, over having more people read my posts, than leave a comment on posts. This is my silliness. My *Grumpy* Silliness.
There are so many REAL PROBLEMS, in this world.
-sigh-
How could I *Grump*... Over something so silly?

Grump and vent all you want. I always say, "It's my blog, so I'll grump if I want to." [Can be sung to the oldie goldie, "It's My Party and I'll Cry If I Want To."]
Peace,
Muff
Okay, here's an example of what I meant on last post. I'm still reading blogs since I commented on yours and see that you've posted again. I came here to read and comment and here comes my hubby. Who sits down and starts a conversation. Meanwhile, your blog is still up on my computer while we're talking. So if you see on the stats that I was here for quite a while...that's why! :)
I'll just say this and then sign off...it's your blog and you can grump if you want to!
I seldon visit a blog without commenting but there are tons of people who just 'visit' silently.
My daughter, Amber, has THOUSANDS of visitors and very few comments!
I follow several 'quad blogs' and notice they seldom have a 'comment following.' Do the younger people just not say much?
You can be grumpy and can vent all you want whenever you want this is your blog after all, I will still come and visit and I always leave a comment even if I have nothing to say I will still comment telling you I was here..........I am not someone who belives in visiting silently.....
but then I am not a silent person as you know.......lol
Grump all you want, as long as you keep posting those beautiful roses I don't care. And I won't even say --smile-- Cuz, that'd really get you grumping!!!
I think that were all entitled to a little grump now and then:)
Enjoy your week!
Leann
Perhaps folks were just too grumpy themselves to leave a comment. We all have grumpy days.
Grump if you want, Auntie - I had a few comments on some posts, too, and there were three or four times as many visitors. That's okay... we just like comments, don't we? And then sometimes, I'm just zipping thru blogland and plan on coming back later to post and never get back to it! I hate when that happens!
Oh yeah - I love your header photo - Uncle A sure has beautiful roses!
see every one of your commenters has given you free rein to grump all you want. aren't they nice?
Think of this way. People come to enjoy what you offer and I love what you share with us. I am a busy bee right now and have no time to comment. That may improve. It is not that you are not appreciated. It is that you are appreciated.
People want to come here to visit. I also know how important those comments are. It is nice to know we are talking to others. I am going to make an effort to be a better communicator.
I do know what you mean. We blog for fun, but I think also for the joy of connecting with others - so it's nice when they want to connect back (by leaving a comment). I've sometimes thought of writing a post entitled "To the Lurkers" - to encourage them to comment. I think people often feel shy or insecure about putting themselves out there on the internet - I know I used to, before I started baring my soul to the world via Blogger. Now you can't shut me up. :)
Grump all you like! It's your blog. :)
