♥ We had a teeny, tiny one... :-)

After I watched "Pretty, Little Liars" from 8 - 9, "Uncle A." had me set up with *something,* to have a teeny, tiny fire in (above).  :-)))

Earlier, I told him I *needed* some "Standing Stones"...  But this was all he could come up with, on such short notice.  -giggles-

So we had the night-sky-above (air), and trees surrounding, cool dirt beneath our feet (earth),...

The water of the just-opened pool (water)...  Three of the Elements...

And lit the Fire (fourth Element), as people have been doing, since Ancient Times.   No form of "religion" involved.  Simply feeling connection with the Earth, and the changing Seasons...  :-)

Did you notice how L-O-N-G, the day was????????????

Earlier, "Gabe" next door, had been doing his nightly garden inspection.  ,-)

Then, back-around porch to other side of yard...  Hurry...  Hurry...  Hurry...  ,-)

"Joseph's Coat Of Many Colors" has more buds coming.  Even as the first blossom, fades away...
We just LOVE this rose!!!!  :-)

"Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind..."

~W. Shakespeare, 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'

Would you believe that we are wasting these long days by being so exhausted that we go to bed before dark? I feel like a kid again. Pathetic.

Sweet Gabe...perhaps the gardening gene runs in the family.

Far too hot here to do much of anything. They say we are going to break records. The doctor gave me a note that I cannot return to work until Monday so I am just gonna celebrate my Solstice under the AC.

Thank you again, dear friend, for caring. It means so much to me to have a friend like you.

I noticed how long the day was! The roses in the header and last photo are beautiful. And little Gabe is a cutie. Looks like he has a wonderful yard to play in with lots to entertain him!

I ended up sleeping the day away. Didn't get out of my room until six PM! Gah! I will change this...I will change this...I will change this.

Tomorrow is wupposed to be another nice day here in the PNW, so maybe, just maybe I will get a fire, a day late and a dollar short.

Our fires are all inside at the moment, the shortest day today for us, midwinter. On Saturday we celebrate Matariki - Maori New Year - and will probably go into the city to watch the lantern procession in the evening.

About your question - yes, I choose to leave on the word verification. When I turned it off, I got all kinds of nudey comments and nastiness. Plus, it hacked to some of my other commenters. Sigh. I have a hard time not hating hackers.
