♥ It's Thurs., not Mon. -grin-

"Oh beautiful for spacious skies..."

I had fun with more *Because-I-Can* pics....  Close-ups of pool ripples...  But don't worry, the whole pool was well enjoyed by family on The 4th of July.

♡*♡*♡*♡*♡*♡*♡*♡*♡*♡

And "Pop's" Potato Salad was enjoyed by family too...  :-)

♡*♡*♡*♡*♡*♡*♡*♡*♡*♡

And below, are a couple of pics, of "Pop" and his younger brother, putting salad together...

Ooooops, too dark!

There!  That's better!!!

♡*♡*♡*♡*♡*♡*♡*♡*♡*♡

Look at SOME of the pile of books I have!  And would you believe?  I have 4-5 more waiting for me at the library.  -grin-

Some are leaf-through-and-enjoy-the-lovely-photos.

Some are read-bit-and-pieces, for information.
Some are a complete JOY.  ("Rose Cottage" by Mary Stewart")

Some, are part of a series, which I'm kind of running-out-of-steam reading.

Some are lovely, relaxing childhood memories.  ("Three Houses" by Angela Thirkell)
Some are by my new fav author...  ("Named Of The Dragon" by Susanna Kearsley)

I love it, when I have a lot of different books, *going* at once.  If I get tired of one form of writing, I can put that down, and dip into another type.

Do you like lots of different reading, Dear Reader...?

Beyond my heart I need not reach
When all is summer there."

It sure had me fooled this morning. I thought it was Monday. Almost left for work too early. Hope you had a wonderful holiday, my friend.

Neat photos! What a difference between the dark and the "just right" photos. I also felt refreshed after looking at the ripples in the pool photo :)

I am a big fan of reading and I also enjoy "books that are just for looks" :D I have my own personal library of over 500 books on all subjects.

Happy Thursday!!!

I had such trouble with light yesterday. The sun was so bright that it "blew out" every photo. I should have been looking for the proper setting, but really had no idea that there was a problem until I got home. So I found your double photos with the different light very interesting. Do you remember what you did for settings?

That salad looks fabulous. I will make a salad for our next picnic. I missed it.

What a lovely variety in books. No, I don't think I read that much variety. Now you've got me intrigued so will have to do some research.

I am still in a reading rut. I used to love to read, now I start a book, put it down and never finish it. HELP!! What's the matter with me.

Helloooo, Auntie!

No, I'm sort of a one book at a time person! Can't put it down til it's finished!

And that pool looks simply delightful - we could sure use some cool water down here about now. I thought about getting myself a wading pool just to cool off in the back yard - really! I did!

Hope you guys had a nice 4th!

So I'm not the only one who thought Wednesday felt like Saturday.... : )

How nice to see the men take a hand in food prep.

I love Angela Thirkell - her Barsetshire series is a hoot.

Lucky you -- the guys make the salad!!! Not so around here. I tried to take some pix the other day and had a light problem -- the sun [or light source] needs to be behind the photographer, not the subject. One of the photos I wanted so badly is now just a mess!
Peace,
Muff
