I'm *falling down* on mentioning books, before I return them to the library. One with a twist-and-turn-plot, (which I have no, no, no idea how authors write such) I already returned. -sigh- And of course, can't remember the name now. It was YA Lit... As are these two above. 2 very different books. Very interesting, both.

Question... What do you Dear Reader, prefer to find, in a blog entry? But FIRST, I am not casting any doubts or any praise, for any particular form of blogging, by asking this question. Again and always... We are free to do our blog, as we wish. And people are free to read it, or not, as they wish. There! I got that DISCLAIMER, out of the way. ,-)

So----Just your opinion----When you click on posts, what do you like to find?????~ ~ ~
I admit, I like pictures. Photos taken by the blogger, or something she found on the Net. How about you?~ ~ ~
Now, as to number of words posted, to be read? Me, I keep tending to at least 5 pics, with not-too-many words, in between the pics. So I seem to like the not-too-many-words-in-a-post. How about you? How many words do you prefer to show up to be read, when you click on a post? If there are *too many words,* do you sometimes tend to *skim*???? So, why do people keep answering?~ ~ ~
Our cell phones get them too, although we basically use them, just between ourselves. We disabled our cell phone answering thingy, because if a robo-call goes to it, we have to pay for it!!! And since we use cell phones rarely, we have cheapest setup.~ ~ ~

we have caller ID and only answer names/numbers we reconize, all calls go to voice mail unless we know who it is and the robo calls are driving us nuts, i love the pumpkins all in a row and that bike shot is AWESOME really beautiful. and what i like is photos taken by the blogger,i don't follow blogs that are words only, as in writers.
I pretty much agree with you about the 'look' of a blog, with the exception of internet photos. I prefer the photography of the blogger. Just a personal preference. All though I occasionally use internet photos myself. Only when my photo file is void of what I'm looking for~~
When I read a blog I like to see pictures. Like I like your bike picture. It just appealls to me. I've been seeing your blog name on Linda's Journal and now on Ladybug so I thought I'd come check you out.

i like to see lots of photos too. i especially like seeing photos of peoples pets and farms. most of my calls come to my cell so i can see who it is that is calling and answer or not. i am not a phone person. i don't really like talking on the phone.
love those pumpkins....we don't have a home phone anymore...just cell phones..I used to think you had to answer phones and the front door...now I don't feel the need...family knows if you are going to stop by call 1st or we might not answer the door...
Hmmm, what do I like to see on a blog? I like to see folks who are real.
I enjoy photos but am not a great photographer so mix it up on my own blog...some of my own and some I find. If I find what the blogger is writing about to be interesting I'd happily read their posts for hours; I know I tend to be wordy at times. Ah well, such is life.
Phones? Yuck. I have a cellphone but VEY few people have the number. I like it that way.
I, too, love photos, and now that I said that, I'm vowing to include more on my posts! I do love writing though, and I have a tendency to go overboard. But I do enjoy both your writing and pix!!
BTW -- we have a block on our landline, and caller ID. I can't let a phone ring and not want to grab it (I never grew beyond my teenage years!)

well, I am going to be the different one. I like a good blog entry in words. I am a writer and a reader so I appreciate the written word. I don't mind a few pictures, but I don't like the trend of all pictures, to be honest. I tend to like blogs that stay (most of the time) on topic, so if it's a spiritual blog, the entries are of a spiritual nature. If it's a cooking blog, recipes, etc.
I love photos...I guess that's why I've always loved magazines. But, I also enjoy reading and learning more about the blogger. It's interesting to me to see where and how other folks are living. I don't mind a wordy blog if it's interesting, but I tend to skim a bit, too! I've learned a lot from reading blogs.
I hate the robo calls, too. One of my biggest pet peeves. I have caller ID and won't answer if I recognize the number. I have one co. that keeps calling to lower the interest on my credit card which I never carry a balance on. They keep saying "this is our final offer", but it's funny they've "offered" a gazillion times!!

As far as photos go, they do make a blog look pretty and I try to find something every day. With a cell phone only, I rarely have my own pictures. And as to my cell phone. I never use it, only when necessary. Only use my house phone to order food in on Friday. About ten years ago I worked in a halfway house where I got a minimum of 50 calls per day from people trying to get in. I started to hate talking on the phone there.

Photos, definitely! And yes I do skim some of the blogs I read...Can't help it! I call it the "on and on and on" type of writing. I don't care for it and I don't blog like that either...usually short and to the point...with photos.

I like pictures and words, not too much of either. I usually read every word but if I get way behind I skim.
We don't even have a land line phone and only use our cells. Nothing fancy - just tracfones.
If I don't know the caller I don't answer it.
BTW - I keep forgetting to answer your question about my camera. It is just a little point and shoot one - Olympus FE340. I've had it for years. It is small and goes everywhere with me!
why, do i read your blog because i know i will always get a real laugh. no matter day, when i feel the need for a PICK ME UP ... i come here. you make me laugh until i cry. so funny!! i don't answer the phone because don't have a home phone. the main person that calls my cell are people i wish to talk to ... so i usually answer. but there are a few call i don't answer. like a number i don't know. photos keep me happy.
by the way i keep meaning to ask? what size are your photos ... i keep trying to figure out what everyone is doing but i need to ask you... so would you please let me know. thanks. big hugs. (:

Well, this is just the thing. I like many different kinds of blogs. I like the DIYers, the quilters, the gardeners,etc. I read a number of blogs where there won't be a picture at all or rarely so those blogs I'm reading for content and because I feel a connection with the writer. Some blogs are mostly photos with very few words. Some are both. I guess I don't have it figured out yet. Off to read about the bear.
Oh...phones? No landline here. Two cellphones. We check to see who is calling before we answer. I seldom answer if it comes through Restricted or Unknown. So I don't get a lot of unwanted calls.
I have a land line ...no cell because Frank has to use it to have his heart defibrillator checked. We also use Onstar when in the car. I like blogs with photo's such as yours,but enjoy the wordy blogs also...lot's of talented bloggers...I enjoy them all.
Well I like photos of course but if there aren't any that the reader took themselves I tend to click off.A mixture of stock and shots taken by the writer is ok but I don't really like all stock photos. Word count doesn't bother me - short or long if I'm reading then I read it all.
We let the answering machine pick up all the time 0 but ours talks to us and tells us who the call is from before answering. So if it's the kids then we run for the phone. I have a cell, but Mr OP hasn't bit the bullet yet. He's debating on getting one just so he can stay in touch with our guys more. They love to text - me not so much.
Ok I've run on and on and should have been in bed 19 minutes ago.

We are thinking of removing our land line...just use our cells. We mostly answer rings...we are on the NO CALL LISTS so if it's a saleman, we mention we'll "turn them in" if they call again and they don't call back.:)
I like all kinds of blogs, cooking, decorating, DIY'ers.....so much talent out there.
I tend to put in too many photos and I am working on that. I must cut back to no more than 6...sometimes I have as many as 12. O My Goodness...what's a girl to do?? :)))

Hi Auntie, I'm a word girl but I also love to see photo's and pics on a blog. I think I only follow 2 that don't have any photos. I like to put photo s up if I can, and try to make them ones that we have taken ourselves.
Phones? - well we have the land line and both have cells but don't use them much. We're on a no calls list as well and just inform any 'cold callers' of that fact and they soon get off the line.
