♥ The calm, before the storm... 10/28/12 8AM

I really enjoyed this book  ("Death In The Floating City") by Tasha Alexander.  It's part of a series.  But not one, which I want to read, one after the other.  In a while, I'll go back and find the next book in this series.

I'm composing this part, of this post, on Sat. evening.  We've been to the grocery store twice.  I've made G/F Corn Bread for myself and Blueberry Muffins for "Uncle A."  Made them *ahead.*  So if we lose power, we'll have something to have for breakfast, etc.

If one Schedules posts ahead of time, do they Post, even if the person has no power?

But what good is that?  A blogger may be without power to communicate, and if they have Scheduled post showing, they look as if they are fine and dandy.  I don't think I like that way.  I'm gonna' post this on Sun. AM.  Not have any more Scheduled.  Post again, when I can.

Naturally, we got canned food and other things.  Which even if there is no bad storm, we will still eventually eat them.

We can't keep the weather news on, all the time.  It makes one too nervous.  Sat. afternoon, I was watching "The Good Witch" marathon on tv.  I've seen some of these before.  And I really like them.  The actress who plays the title role, has such a lovely, calm, peaceful look to her countenance.  Delightful...

It's now Sun.  about 8:00AM  Time to start baking again.  We are due for high winds on Mon./Tues.  Doubt if I can bake then.......

Good Luck to all of us, in the North East!!!

Stay safe, my friend. I'm ready for this. I only wish our mayor were. I was furious when I watched his press conference yesterday. Let's hope today he wakes up and realizes that over 350,000 people are in harm's way. I pray for all of us here in Sandy's path.

I'm just waiting to see what happens with the storm. It's usually mostly hype around here. But we shall see.

You and Uncle A take care of yourselves! *hugs* (We can chuckle at the house of the Nouveau Riche together.)

We had Pumpkin Palooza today so the TV was off most of the afternoon and when it came back on it was football!

I get nervous thinking about the storm coming and Mr Op says a lot of it is hype - just like snow storms. But you know me I'm prepared. just filled for more pots with water and have them on the stove top.

Our office will be on an abbreviated schedule tomorrow 8-12. Hopefully it won't get too bad before noon.

Stay safe Auntie...

Batten Down The Hatches, Auntie! Glad you're all set, but I am praying along with many others that this storm will fizzle and not be as bad as they are saying.

Good Witch - I just caught that show over the weekend. My mom watches it faithfully. She loves it! I think it's a great show, too - nice to see something NICE!

Are YOU going to be a Nice Witch or a Bad Witch for Halloween?

:)

It sounds like you are well prepared for the storm. Your lights look very pretty. I wonder what will happen to everyone's beautiful Halloween decorations that are outside. Flying/floating pumpkins and cabbage. I'm hoping the storm somehow, miraculously fizzles. Watching the weather news about the hurricane even makes me nervous, and I live in the Midwest!
Scary stuff, I hope everyone will be safe.

Perhaps I should get off of this computer now and boil some eggs. Muffins would be nice, too, if the power goes. Guess I'll bake up a batch. Thanks for the reminder.

I'm pretty sure your post will post if scheduled whether you have electricity or not. As long as you comment that you scheduled the post at a later date it will be okay. I know I'll be waiting for the all is good and we're safe post when you can. ;o)
Since I'm behind in my reading I hope you are safe and good.
