We both just got done (when I composed this, that is) with "attacking" our little downstairs bathroom sink. It's a pretty little white sink, shaped like a shell. We have HARD water. I have to use one soap, because my hands are *delicate.* And it leaves soap build up. Yikes! What a mess.
He attacked it with steel wool and some cleaner he uses, for mineral build up from our HARD water. And I am going to get some DAWN, which "The Mad Snapper" suggested. I can put it, cut with water, into a spray bottle I saved, and try using that too.
Any other Dear Readers, live in HARD water areas? If you do, you must have similar problems. Do you have any Words Of Wisdom, to share, please?????? And thank you.

I know I posted this pic yesterday. But did you see the bee, in the middle???

Of course, since it has Dame Judi Dench in it, I had to see it, eventually. I was very happy to find that my library got it. So we watched it last evening. It's a bit of wild impossible ride. But sweet. :-)

love the marigolds and the bee and i do see the bee. lol i will send you steps on the auto post, i think you are not clicking done. after you set the time and click on the calendar date you want, you have to click done, then click publish at the top. maybe you are not clicking publish.
forgot to say i don't think Dawn will remove the mineral stuff.
We have dreadfully hard water where I live. For the bad deposits, I soak a bit of paper towel or even kleenex with vinegar, press it down until it conforms to the problem area, leave for several minutes (or longer) then come and wipe away while applying pressure. It can often dissolve the gunk.
Thanks for the movie recommendation - I will check it out! :)
oh, i want to see that movie. those actors & actresses are the greatest. can't wait.
we have been to several campground with hard water but not at this home. thank goodness. do you have or would you consider a "water softener"? they do wonders. (:
Yes, I see the bee says Pea! hehe Beautiful pictures!!
We have soft water here so I've never had any problems, thank goodness. Where Steve lives, they have hard water and it actually ruins their glass coffee pots!
I've never even heard of this movie but will keep an eye out for it. I've always liked Dame Judi:-)
I haven't had any problems with the new Blogger at all...maybe it's as Sandra says and you're not clicking on "done" or something when you want to schedule it?
Have a wonderful day Auntie:-) xoxo
Yes, I see the bee! We wish we would see more bees around here in our garden. They are vital to pollination, and local honey is always good to have.
When you schedule your post for a later time, be sure to click on done, then publish. That should work. At least, it works for mine.:)
Our water is neither hard NOR soft - just the way it should be, I imagine.
We are on a well and have very hard water so we have a water softener. We also have ultra violet on the water supply to kill germs and I use a vinegar rinse in the dishwasher.
Wishing you a wonderful, joy-filled weekend.
Mary
what about getting a water softener? the cold is on the way...yeah!!! i love all the characters in that movie but i thought the movie was just so so.
I have hard water, but haven't found a way to resolve the build-up problem.
I saw the bee! I've had a lot of bees this year around my salvia.
Hope your weekend is a good one!
Lovely photos and I did see the bee today and yesterday.
I don't have problems with water so must not live in a hard water area.
I really like Judy Dench. My favorite is her in As Time Goes By which is my favorite television show!!
Sorry you're still having trouble with blogger!!
Love the photos, especially the bee! My husband uses CLR and everything shines!
Peace,
Muff
I see the Bee!!! I have not seen any bee's around my apartment at all this year. I wonder if they spray around here? Hopefully not.I have real soft water...what a pain. They do have products out just for hard water residue. I can not remember the names. You are a quick learner...far ahead of me when it came to learning the new version blogger. I still can not link and God forbid I try to post early. :)
Oh now I want to see the film...I do love impossible adventures and such of a happy nature.
Hard water. We used to have it. The town now adds something or filters it...I don't know, but it is not as hard as it once was because hard water is tough on appliances and pipes, too. I like Lime-Away for hard water stains. It may be too much, though, for your beautiful shell sink.
The flowers are gorgeous!
I thought of you when I saw the advertisement for that movie...isn't it funny how after reading blogs for a while we start seeing things that remind us of our blog pals...BZZZZ great Bee...
I saw that little bee in yesterday's post and even commented on it but I'm not sure it posted. I think I crossed my eyes. ;o)
I use Lemi-Shine in my dishwasher main wash to solve the hard water issue there. Works wonders. I use I think Electrosol in the 2nd pocket in the dishwasher. It the little packet with the red dot.
