♥ Sat. this and that...

How come I just *got~a~feeling* to check out a web site, on which I found a prompt to use StatCounter?  Hmmmm...?  -chuckle-  I hooked up with StatCounter back when I was having 'issues' with my usual place.  After those 'issues' disappeared, I forgot about StatCounter, but it's still there.  Guess I'll take advantage of my *got~a~feeling* and pay attention to it(S.C.), for a while.

Do you pay attention to those  *got~a~feeling* happenings?  :-)

Look what were all lined up in the sun?  ,-)  Snow Blowers!  Yes Ma'am, the reports are for a heavy snow this Winter in "these parts".  Make up for last year, I guess.  ,-)

Can you tell?  We had to go to a big, ware-house-style store?  And this shows the combination of selling, going on.  On top of the Halloween things, are the Christmas decoration things.  No separation of holidays anymore.  Anyone remember when it would be outrageous, for a store to put out Christmas merchandise, till after Thanksgiving?  Hehhh...  "Olden" aren't we, if we so remember...?

Yes, I'm *getting mileage* out of that Red Tree.  ,-) Pic after pic after pic of it.

"There is no season when such pleasant and sunny spots may be lighted on, and produce so pleasant an effect on the feelings, as now in October."
~ Nathaniel Hawthorne

This is certainly just one of those....  "Gotta' take a pic of something, so I'll take a pic of these shadows" kind of a photo.  -chuckle-    ~~~~~~~    Do I hear someone saying;  "Not much going on in this post today"...?  Yup, right you are.  Did a lot of cleaning today/Sat. but don't have a lot of chatter, to put in my blog.

Sometimes it's sunny......  Sometimes it's rainy.....  This rain drops~on~screen makes an interesting Photo Op, me'thinks.

Oh, one interesting thing...   It was sunny this/Sat. AM.   But my Barometer was falling.   Hmmm.....  How come?   Well, by about 2PM we were under a T-storm!   My Barometer is super!!!!  :-)   Then later, the sun came back out again.   How is that for changeable weather...  ,-)

It was certainly unsettled in our corner, but today appears more promising. I am young enough that I don't remember when Christmas things didn't come out until after Thanksgiving; I am old enough to remember folks complaining about it early on. Wonder what year that changed.

Personally, I like the shadows on the way...good, crisp ones, too.

When one has such a beautiful red tree to view, why not really enjoy it a lot?

Do you suppose that they warn of a horrid winter to sell a few of those snowblowers?

i love that first photo of the rain on the windows. i hope we have a good winter this year. last year we really didn't have winter! we drove in and out of rain yesterday. it is going to be downright hot here this week. i hate it when this happens.

stunning sunny shot!!! love that one best of all. you have an amazing view out your windows. beautiful. i do remember the Christmas came out the day after thanksgiving and i liked it that way. i think the reason it comes out early is because the cost of for one thing is more than i spent on two kids for their whole Christmas. i tried to spednd 50 on each child when i could and they had a nice Christmas. now it is more than 100 for just about anything. and if people want all those fancy electric decorations they have to charge, put on layaway or buy one each week. times have changed and not for the better

I love all the decorations! Mix and match! The only thing about our part of the country - you can NOT find the diced candied fruit for fruitcake until very close to Christmas!!! You really need it NOW if you are going to make a real fruitcake and let it age a bit!! I make fruitcake cookies but have to buy the fruits at the end of the holiday season and store it for the next year. I.Must.Buy.Even.MORE.This.Year.

Auntie, I always enjoy your thoughts and photos...today is no exception :) I am especially in love with your "shadow" and your "rainy" day photos!

I agree about pushing the holidays together the way the stores do now! But I guess all the merchants are really concerned about is their "bottom line" :(

Halloween Hugs,
Jan

I remember when Christmas things didn't come out until after Thanksgiving. I liked it that way. Christmas is WAY TO COMMERCIALIZED in my opinion.
Yes, I do listen to my gut feelings!

I know. I'm SO behind. But, of course I pay attention to those 'feelings'. You do too 'cuz you got a little of 'the shining' whether you want to admit it or not. :)

It drives me nuts to see Christmas out in July...it is hard to find anything Thanksgiving wise ...they say more money is spent on Halloween than Christmas

I like your pics of that pretty red tree and it's fun to see your rainy/cloudy pics, they always feel cozy. I am not a fan of seeing Christmas decorations this early. The sparkle kind of rubs off the garland, so to speak, with such over commercialization of the season. I did think your picture with Santa standing behind the big purple bug looking thing, with a giant hammer in his hand, was funny.

Oh, yes, I do pay attention to "those feelings". I think that they are often correctly foreshadowing events, sometimes wonderful, sometimes not. I think many people, if they thought about it, as they look back on their lives, can see where they did and where they did not pay attention to "those feelings"; and how it affected their life.

Popped over to see your blog after you left a kind word on mine. You're an absolute dote, as we say here in Ireland. Love the witch's hat and the photographs of your lovely home.
