Yesterday's post ... Specifically requesting at least a tiny comment ...
72 Visits ... 21 Comments
And there were more than 72 Visits, but some are repeats, and I don't count them.
So much for that...
"To be interested in the changing seasons
is a happier state of mind
than to be hopelessly in love with spring."
Weather ... High of 77 with possible T-storms. But! Friday is scheduled to be CLEAR. After my yearly eye exam on Fri., perhaps I can get out back and hack away at rogue vines... Which I have allowed to go unchecked this year. So out back, it looks something like .... Oh you know. ,-)
Showing (old) pictures of wall paper around my home... And discussing the weather... -sigh- What a pathetic excuse for a post. -chuckle- ................. Oh, I know! I gave-up-on reading one of those ponderously long and ponderously slow books. -sigh- And picked up... ... "Mariana" by Susanna Kearsley, instead.
S.K. never fails to deliver. :-)
S.K. never fails to deliver. :-)
Oh sure, I know her style of writing by now. I know ahead of time, sort-of-what's-going-to-be-the-line-of-the-plot. But I enjoy them. :-) I want to keep reading them, when it's time to put a book down. That's the kind of a book, I like. .......... An aside, when I first look at this cover art, I think the gal has a baby alligator, crawling up her arm, with head on her shoulder. -giggggles-
The author herself said; "I write modern gothic novels that blend historical adventure
and modern-day suspense with romance and a touch of something spooky, so
they don't fit neatly into any category, really...but they're fun to
write!" Yummy-delicious, in my view!!!

love all the shadows and the view of my favorite lamp in the mirror is great.
wonderful wallpaper. sorry you didn't get many comments! i can't wait for the cool weather that is on the way. it is hot and sticky here.
I was just thinking (and this is a dangerous thing in my house), after your comment, that perhaps we both have our minds on other far-more important things. And maybe it's time for us to join the Wordless Wednesday Group. Ha!
I love that vintage wall paper. My aunt gave me that very same print, in fabric form. I made a few pillows out of it for my bed. Now that decor has changed and I don't know what happened to the pillows.
Enjoy your Wednesday!
I guess some people just don't want to commment...they just aren't social like all of us...maybe shy...
I don't worry about people not leaving a comment...I'm just grateful that they stopped by.
Love your wallpaper!

Sorry your comment experiment didn't work. Just be happy that people are reading, and write whatever pleases you!
I have vintage wallpaper in my house, too, but I'm thinking about taking it down and painting -- a bit more contemporary.
Peace,
Muff
I agree with Donna. Don't focus so much on the comments. The important thing IS that people are visiting. On checking I discovered one of my blogs had 542 visits today and not one comment. What I look at is the number who are visiting. It's always about the same average every day so I know people are coming back. I know they are reading what I wrote.
On the other hand, not too long ago I started another blog and after three weeks only had 41 views in those three weeks. That told me that no one was interested so I let the blog go.

I checked my stats yesterday, too, and had 4 times as many views than comments. Several were from Mtn. View CA which was talked about on a blog once up on a time and I've forgotten who they are! A few were from out of the country doing google searches. But, I have to say I've been guilty of dropping in on someone and reading but not commenting when I'm pressed for time.
Lovely photos, pretty wallpaper!
Oh well, I guess some people are just don't like to leave comments.
Have a happy day Auntie. : )
Hi
I wasn't one of the lurkers - I always comment when I'm here:)
Love "our" wallpaper!
xo
I never think of checking my blog stats! lol I know that a lot of people visit blogs but never comment and that's fine with me:-)
It went up to 71 here today, that's way above the normal temps for this time of year. The last 4 days have been sunny as well so I've really enjoyed taking walks and admiring the coloured leaves:-) Tomorrow they're forecasting rain.
Love all your shadow shots and your wallpaper is so lovely. xoxo
I love the wall paper and it looked like an alligator on her shoulder to me also. :) I have people who are followers but do not open their blogs to anyone. Strange.
thanks for the book suggestion. i wonder about these "looking at your blogs" & "not leaving a comment". what are you using? just the blogger mentions of who reads the post? i always wonder how to figure it out. what is the big deal of saying at least something?
who is the baby with the pumpkin hat on there? such a cutie. (:
Well, I missed that post or I would have commented for sure. For good or ill, I always comment on every blog I visit. :)
A very interesting quote about the seasons.
Yes! I remember the talk where several were getting hits from Mtn. View CA and it was determined to be a googlebot...whatever that is! So, whatever they are doing, I guess its okay. It seems like they visit me several times a day and I don't see the need for that, tho. I read about the bandwidth problem for those with 10,000 plus hits and the cost! Good grief...I don't want that to happen. As if...ha! Thanks for the link to refresh my memory!!
I have to admit, Auntie, that I sometimes read and don't comment. It doesn't mean that I didn't enjoy reading, but sometimes I'm trying to read quite a few and if a comment doesn't just pop up in my head, I go on to another and sometimes return later to comment... sometimes not. And sometimes I return and forget why... ;)
Susanna Kearsley - I think I read one of her books not long ago, I can't for the moment remember the name (darn it) but it was very enjoyable.
How you doing - enjoying the autumn. I love this time of year. I was walking my dogs a couple of days ago and one of the trees in the park which is now full of red leaves and had the sun shining through - was beautiful. I would have loved a picture of that.
Lynn :D
Hi, sweetie! I'm leaving a comment for you! I don't visit that often. Just stopping by to let you know that I have an explanation posted on Vee's blog regarding my good-natured teasing of her. In case you are interested...
'mornin', Auntie,
Just wanted to tell you that I love all your wallpaper.....:))
Maybe some folks are like me. I just read your post but I comment it and this one today. Some of us are just slow.
Some else I've noticed several of my friends read but they don't know how to post directly to the blog.
Oh well I guess at least they view and read.
