Happening already, in "my neck of the woods"...

Happening already, in my "neck of the woods":

1- Area Hospital laid off 29 people...

2- Husband had to have blood work done at our own Hospital Lab, Wed. AM.  For years, we have gone early and been out in good time.  This morning, he wasn't even that early.  And no one was working.  Patients had to wait and wait and wait, to be processed.  Then wait longer, to have blood drawn.

And this is only 2012!  Just wait till 2013.  And more so, in 2014.  Will the people who voted for BO, be so happy with BO-Care (Socialized Medicine) then???

I'm sorry you had to wait so long.

Hmmmm.

Sending you calm and gentle hugs.

I am thinking people are going to get a lesson in reality very soon.

SO not a good start!!! We will all need a good book to read when we have our medical appointments. I can't believe I am looking forward to being 65! I have been denied insurance so many times I can't count but next year I will be able to get Medicare and purchase a supplemental policy! Right now I have to pay the full price (less 30% discount for being self pay) for any and all medical/hospital/doctor visits.

Ditto what Dee said!

It's a'comin' to us all I'm afraid, Auntie. Another 4 years. Guess we're in for the long haul. Other than that - I hope you have a great rest of the week!

I don't even want to see his signature!
I cannot stand the sound of his voice, either.
I'm sorry that your hubby had to wait for his lab work; I think that things will continue to get worse in the medical field and in the business world.
America made a choice. I'm afraid that the country is going to have a long row to hoe...and I fear it isn't going to be pretty.

they were talking on the news this morning that several of our chain restuarants will be cutting their employees to 30 hours so they will be part time...to not have to pay for the O health care plan...it will definately effect all walks of life...Happy New Year...

I heard that there are big lay offs coming to Lockheed here in GA - and Obama asked them to wait until after the election.

What I wonder is - will the people blame Obama - I don't think so.

Some how it will be the Republicans fault.

wait lines are normal here, we have to wait every where, sorry your husband had to wait, hope things improve,

So far, things seem 'normal' here. However, due to Obamacare, Hubby and I lost our good Medicare Advantage plan... We did get another one---but it is not nearly as good as the last one. AND---in 2014, Obama probably won't even allow us to have the Advantage plans at all... Grrrrrrrrr.

Ditto what Dee and Cheryl and Jackie said. My daughter-in-law tells me that the visit to the bone specialist takes nearly three hours. We'll see when Sam has his appointment next week and I have Jake.

I just learned today that my clinic has closed and my doctor is gone so I've been transferred to yet another clinic automatically. This is the second doctor gone in two years. Both have QUIT! (Well, one retired early and the other wants to start a family.)

I say let's all stay well.

I have been reading a blog written by two doctors (married) ... who have gone to serve mankind in the country of Chad. Bere

My brother lives in Oklahoma and his doctor (who retired) volunteered to go over there. After fundraising, they were able to ship amazing purchases to equip the small hospital. Now the crates are sitting in the port because the government is asking for unusual tariff charges to release. Anyway -- so when my brother told me about this he also knew about several "blogs" from the people who are working there.

Had just been reading their medical miseries when I popped over here to return your visit to my blog (which I've neglected for months)

My daughter is a first year RN. I sure hope she continues to have a job with all this mess.
