As you can see, I didn't keep the all-plain-white background for long. But, this cute little pic is kind of over-kill, the other way. Meaning, I went from very plain background... To a little-too-much- going-on in the background. ~~~~ Mmmm, later, changed again. :-)
We have the lobster... We have the Champagne... We have "his" cheeses and "my" cheeses... And grapes and diff crackers, for with the cheeses. Not sure exactly what we'll do with the lobster. They are cooked and chilled and could just be cracked (by HIM), and cut up, and dipped in a wee bit of hot butter....... We'll see....
We have "The Thin Man" dvd from the library. (1934) "Nick and Nora Charles, a former detective and his rich, playful wife, investigate a murder case mostly for the fun of it."... That about sums up the plot. But it's the inter-acting of William Powell and Myrna Loy, which puts this classic film, over-the-top. Fun! Fun! Zany fun! ;-)
Oh and don't forget to turn on the scanner! To hear the nutty things which the poor Police Dept. has to deal with, on a New Year's Eve. ,-0
Happy New Year's Eve to you, Dear Reader!!!
Happy New Year's Eve to you, Dear Reader!!!
"If New Year's Eve night wind blow south,
It betokeneth warmth and growth:
If west, much milk, and fish in the sea:
If north, much cold, and storms there will be:
If east, the trees will bear much fruit:
If north-east, flee it man and brute."

happy new year and i love that snow on the chimney shot.. a lot! sounds like you are ready to usher in the new year.
And Happy New Year to YOU and yours!!! Your pictures are lovely with all that snow! I am just now catching up on my favorite blogs after an awesome weekend. Today is the day to take Christmas down, pack and load the truck, clean the camper and prepare to return HOME for 8 days!!!
Sounds like you have the perfect ingredients for a lovely New Year's Eve! We LOVE The Thin Man and I miss ging to the library. We're bringing back our DVD player and I think I will borrow Amber's library card - or get one of my own for Houston!
I need to change my blog decor now.....oh, dear! I just hate doing that! But the Christmas tree on it is going to get on my nerves now that it will soon be January 2013!! My, time is FLYING!!!
What a beautiful snow...such pretty pictures, too. :)
We got just a half inch rain last night and thrilled to have it.
West Texas needs every bit of moisture it can get.
Happiest New Year, dear one.

Lovely photos of the snow. We're very cold and gray here. No sun nor snow.

Yes this would likely be the most entertaining night of the year for scanner-listeners :)
With 4th of July being a close second
Happy, Happy New Year, Auntie and Uncle "A"!!! Sounds as if you planned a wonderful start to the New Year :) Love the chimney photo!!!
Happy New Year Hugs,

What a wonderful New Year's Eve you have planned. I'll be right over!
:)))
Happy New Year to you and your family.
Love to you,
Jackie
The wind is blowing and it's from the west so I'll scroll back to see what that means.
Delightful evening ahead for you both. I hope that the lobster will be heated and dipped in delicious butter... I'd like mine cut into small bits and slathered with mayo on a toasted bun, please. Oh. I forgot. I won't be there. Shoot. I would enjoy the movie, I'm sure. I already know that I'll not make midnight as it's been a busy weekend and I am tuckered.
This background is darling!
Milk and fish in the sea...well that seems logical. =D
Happy New Year, Auntie! You are welcome to use a BPM image.:-)
Snow makes everything so pretty. Great photos.
Happy New Year to you Auntie and Uncle too. : )
Happy New Years dear sweet Auntie
I love Nick and Nora and lobster - where is the invite?
To a wonderful new year - 2013! sandie♥
When you mentioned grapes I all of a sudden wanted some....to go with my cheese and crackers. I pray your new year will be filled with lots of blogging opportunities....See ya next year...Dee
Hey lady -
Happy New Year!
Shoulda come to your house for lobster and cheese and crackers - sounds like a party to me!
=D
Great pictures! Champagne, lobster and favorite cheeses; sounds like a very Happy New Year's Eve party, but with Nick and Nora, too, wow! But, we must not forget one of the most important characters in the Thin Man Movies--Asta--their naughty little dog. "After the Thin Man' is on right now at my house. The TCM announcer was just saying that Asta had once bitten Myrna Loy, and Asta was very aloof and unfriendly to the other stars on the set! Well, I'm just going to forget that I ever heard that because Asta is one of my favorites, too.
Enjoy your crackers, cheese, champagne, and lobster, and
The Thin Man movie, and most of all: Have a very Happy New Year!
Sounds like a delightful New Year's Eve planned at your house. Enjoy!
Happy New Year to you!
My grandparents always had their scanner running. I totally forgot about that until I read your post. :)
I just came over to wish you a happy new year. :)
