We made a path, to next door, the way that Tasha Tudor did. She never shoveled. She simply walked through snow, and made her 'path' that way.
He went first, with his high boots on. Then I followed, with my brand new boots on.
They are brand new, because I've had them a couple of years, without using them. As "Uncle A." said; "It's been a while, since we've had this much snow!"
There they are (above) in all their *glory*! -grin- Long time Dear Readers here, may remember them. I pictured them on my blog, way back when I got them. I loved the red plaid look. -grin-
Anyway, we walked in tandem, over and back. And it's a pretty good path for now. Eventually it will probably be snow-blown. But the Tasha Tudor way is fine for now. -grin-
I've been trying to get pictures, where the close-up is clear, and the faerie lights in *the distance,* look soft.
So far, not so good. NOT the particular look, I'm going for, anyway. I'm making the distance-light-softness, by doing the blurring-the-edges, which comes on my computer photo app. But I want the effect, without doing any blurring. A work in progress, I guess. ,-)

it is a marshmallow world! we have lots of snow and i am loving every flake!
and the birdbath has the biggest marshmallow of them all. it is beautiful and what a neat way to make a path, beats shoveling for sure. i had boots when we lived in ky but they were just black ugly rubber boots that went over my shoes.
How much snow is that Auntie? Looks like a good 6-8 inches easy.
Beautiful. They'd forecasted some snow for us as well, but all we got was a cold dreary rain.

thats the best way! We always made paths this way for our small dog, love your new boots!
Try setting your camera on Macro...center in on a close subject till its clear then snap the shot.
YouTube has great videos on how to get those shots.
LOVE the Tudor Way!

I love that you played in the snow and I LOVE your boots! HAPPY NEW YEAR!
If I had to shovel, it'd be the Tasha Tudor way. =D
I remember the boots. So glad that you finally have put them to good use.
Don't know exactly what effect you are going for with your picture, but it sure looks pretty, delightful even, just as it is.
I do remember those boots and like them just as much now as I did then. : )
How beautiful!
Wish you an amazingly pretty New Year 2013.
