"Beware of all enterprises that require new clothes." ,-)

I can't comment in Wordpress blogs, anymore.  First I couldn't comment in  Lynn's Book Blog.    And now I can't comment  in  Lady imbrium's holocraon.  ...    Something has changed, and WP does not recognize me.   I anyone else having a similar problem?

Are you getting ready for the Winter Doldrums?  -chuckle-  I know, if we were cozy in that above picture, we'd hardly have the Winter Doldrums.  But we don't...  Live in a magical setting like that.

So, do you have any ideas for combating the Winter Doldrums,  when/if they set in?  Besides lots of *comfort foods,* that is!   'Cause lots of  *comfort foods* leave us too-big-and-too-sluggish-and-displeased-with-ourselves.   That's no way to dig ourselves out of the Winter Doldrums.
OK!  Maybe just a LITTLE BIT of *comfort foods,* is OK.  -grin-

A fire in the fireplace.  Or a dvd of a fireplace.  Either one is a jolly way, to feel better about Winter lingering.

A brand new project, perhaps?  If we are absorbed in something new, we forget about the weather outside.  :-)

How about you Dear Reader?  Do you have personal ideas, on how to combat the Winter Doldrums?

"The Lace Reader"...  Well, I finished it.   But, can't say I'd *be frothing at the mouth* for anyone else to read it.  Let's say, it's a bit of a Head Case.  A big bit of a Head Case.   Very confusing, for poor ol' me, anyway...

Well, "Grand's" team (The Ravens) won, and will be in the Super Bowl!!!  Hooray!  :-)

And this match up will be a Super Bowl first, since the coaches of the Ravens and the 49ers, are brothers.

I've actually never tried to comment on WP. Ah, winter doldrums. We're headed into the coldest air in winter in several years. I'm wishing I could just hold up in my house in my flannels. Flannel gowns are my answer to everything.

I just write away to defeat it at my bay and work out a ton too, so that comfort food goes away haha

I haven't been able to comment on Wordpress blogs for a very long time. I have no idea why, as I'm not technical enough to find out. As far as the winter doldrums, I find that doing a spring coundown will help. As of today, it's only 60 days til spring :)

I only leave comments on blogger, Auntie, so I am no help...as usual :)

I enjoy the winter months, especially when there is snow. My favorite thing is to sit in front of the fireplace, read a book and enjoy a cup of hot tea, or coffee. I also enjoy re-arranging things like my books or my collections in winter.

I love that photo...how magical it is indeed!!!

Hugs,
Jan

Oh. This is the first time I've been interested in anything about the Super Bowl (unless the Patriots are in it). Brothers you say? Intriguing.

Right. Comfort food is not the answer. Not even any.

A project...that's the ticket!

We would have to have a winter to have the winter doldrums.
I am wearing short sleeves and capri-type pants. So, I won't be much help with the winter doldrums solutions...unless the solutions involve missing winter....sigh.
I do miss winter.
Hugs,
J.

It doesn't really get all that cold here where I live and if it does it doesn't last but a few days. I just keep doing what I always do. : )

Hi Auntie, the winter doldrums have set in for me particularly today. When I think of how it should have been...sigh.

I started a cleaning/organizing project before I got sick. As soon as I enjoy a day or two of feeling nearly normal again, I'll get back to it. That helps me through the doldrums. And reading blogs. I've just read the past few posts I've missed here. Enjoyed the reading and the photos.

Take care and stay warm!

Using Google Chrome helped my blogger problems. You could try it?

Love that winter photo!

As for the winter doldrums? If I'm not sitting by the fire with a book, I'm probably cooking... or baking. As my dishtowel from The Pie Shop claims, "Pie fixes everything!"

Auntie - do I need new clothes to get out of the doldrums????

Actually thinking about my garden for this spring. Already breaking ground and getting ready to till. Onions and some potatoes go in first. Our onion farmers around here (google "Noonday Onions") plant their onion crops between Thanksgiving and Christmas for the May/June harvest. And they are HUGE!

Spring will get me out of the doldrums but thinking about my gardening is doing a pretty good job!
