ok, i'm not totally back into blogging mode. But neither will i let those *&%^^$@#%&*(*^%$##%^&**(&^%$$%^&****%$$ ass-holes drive me, totally off the net.
and let's not forget, we in this country, have been lucky. such bombs, are every-day-occurrences, in much of the world.
due to small 'hole' in tip of ring finger, i'm not speed-typing again yet. so it's hunt-and-peck typing, and no 'caps'.
It's been quite a few days!!! first, i cut my finger, 'catching' broken glass'.
then, there was boston...
then, between the 2 of us here, we've set a small cooking fire, spilled boiling water on an unprotected foot, lost our whole heating system, till replacements are done today we hope.
then, there was boston...
then there was the poison letter, sent to a washington congressman...
so if i'm not into totally-happy-blogging, it will have to be accepted.
the same as i accept blogging now, in whatever way, any blogger wants to do it!!!!!!!

do what i did, turn off the news.. i really did, there is nothing we can do so why watch it. that is bad news on all the things happening to you, now that is new i like to read about so i can say how sorry I am.. what i often wonder is how a small cut on the tip of my finger on ANY finger can be felt by everything i touch. even a paper cut can make me say ouch each time i touch something. the fire is scary and so is the boiling water. hope you are both ok to day

And I'm with Sandra, partially...I only listen for the updates and then when the talking heads start to become ghoulish, I find something else to do that's beneficial. Sitting all day watching that crap is awful.
I watch Only what I Have to...like the Gun Control Bill being voted on today at 4pm EST. 9 different admendments today...CSpan2 IF you want to tune in...SO Important!

Auntie, everything you said is what so many of us are thinking. I am very sorry that you are having so many things go wrong in your personal life, too.
I know how you feel when all of the terrible outside news mingles with all of the things going wrong in your personal life. Unlike you, being strong, I was ready to go hide myself away somewhere. I can't express such personal problems here in "beautiful blogland", but I am trying to keep going on with life in a more normal way after a few days of heavy crying.

When it rains, it pours! I think you simply hurt your finger to be in solidarity with BJ who also hurt hers. What is up with this?! Boiling water on a foot? Heating system down? It's simply too much. Right. And then there was Boston. I'll be over directly with a basket of gluten-free scones and a thermos of tea.

There are definitely some crazy happenings going on. You're right though, we are lucky in the grand scheme of things. In some countries, this happens every single day.
i am watching the news and they arrested someone!!!
unfortunately we have crazy people in this world...the media makes it even worse...I'm with Sandra...turn of the set...I can't listen to it all day long...it dampens my spirits...and that is what the crazies want to happen...I will not let them win...

You are doing pretty good typing with the bum finger...better than I could. I try not to let all the bad things I hear get me down. The bombers and shooters want us to be fearful and unhappy. There is nothing we can do but pray for the family's and victims. It is heart breaking. Sorry to hear of all the mishaps at your place.
Oh no. Somehow the boiling water sounds worse than all the rest (except Boston). I do hope things get better soon, for everyone.

I hope you get your heating system up and running today.
Yesterday I didn't turn the T.V. on, I mostly worked in the yard and actually had a good time watching the squirrels run around and dig holes in my yard, I know things are not quite right now.
