We had a nearly full day of sun, on Fri. Wow!!!! And a purrrrrrfect Saturday is forecast! Double wow!!!
Yesterday was spent, as I said.... Up at 6am, to watch old Esther Williams films on A&E. Watched 'till an old black and white one, with no swimming, came on. Turned that off and baked the bread.
The bread, which I am not showing. Because I messed up the recipe, and it did not come out, "pretty." It's ok to eat, but I'll have to do it again. More Correctly! ,-)
Then it was back to more movies, until I had to take a nap. Missed some of that one. But then continued my marathon watching, thru the last one, at 8pm. Wow!!!
I have fun with old movies, by watching to see who did the Set Design on them. (The name I recognize most, is (click-->) Edwin B.Willis...) And also have fun, noticing other actors, who later became more famous.

A very young (click-->) Ricardo Montalban was in a couple of them. Oh my wow!!!!! What a gorgeous man he was!!!

All his life. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.... Yummmmmmmmmmy... :-)
I read for a while, but had to go to bed. I was tired! LOL.
And woke to beautiful SUN, this (Sat.) morning. Yessss!!!!!
Wondering, am I the only "Old Movie Fan," out there in Pretty Blog Land? :-) I kind-of doubt it. If you too, are a fan, which kind of "Old Movies," are your favorite? Or do you like a lot of different types of them?

I love old movies...love the Doris Day ones...Rock Hudson...hope you have a great Saturday
I love old movies too, but don't really have a *type*... like the kind that make you feel good and some that are made in beautiful places like Ireland. There is only one that I can think of at the moment that I rented once... think it was called "Lavendar ladies". I do own a few really old ones like "Harvey".
we are also having the most beautiful day. a nice cool sunny morning! i love old foreign films especially depardeiu! he is my most favorite actor!
rain here all yesterday, but the sun seems to be poking through today.
Old movies... now, let's see. I've got the original Blob, The Body Snatchers, King Creole, I love Marilyn Monroe in Some Like It Hot (I do) and The Seven Year Itch.
Have a great weekend!
I'm not really a television or movie fan. It's hard for me to sit still long enough to watch one through!! : )
We have a beautiful sunny day here too.
Auntie, I love old movies. One of the reasons , they have real special effects..not that computerize herky-jerky "crap". I can't get into to watching the newer FX. Hope you got rested up. We had a beautiful friday and today was very nice. It's 4:15 and getting dark like it could rain. Enjoy your Sunday. xoxo,Susie
I remember seeing some of the Ester Williams' films. I laughed about a comment made about her "Wet she's great, dry she ain't." Sorry that the bread didn't look pretty. Sometimes the messiest things taste the best.
The old romances with Clark Gable or Spencer Tracy...love them!
