"Today Class, our lesson will be on Inflammation."

(Planting...)

"Today Class, our lesson will be on Inflammation."

When you and I are *bedeviled* by Allergies, we have Inflammation.  When you and I have Arthritis Pain, we have Inflammation.  When you and I have certain Gut Discomfort, we have Inflammation.

My cold/allergies were so bad, that my doc gave me both Prednisone, and a diff Antibiotic.  Prednisone... Without going into all the medical reasons, one can simply say that Prendisone gets rid of Inflammation, in the body.

(Getting belt, to fix next door's vacuum cleaner...)

My Allergy/Cold symptoms are gone.

And my ARTHRITIS PAIN, is gone!

I can walk up and down stairs, without pain!  I can get up off the *pottie,* in one move.  Before, I had to rock back and forth, to get up the momentum, to get up.  (Too much info I know but...)  In the morning, I do not get up all stiff.

Magical!!!

 (Madagascar Pink Rice...)

But!!!

We can not continue to take Prednisone for long.  The *magic* will cease.  Our pains will return, if we continue to put food into our bodies, which cause Inflammation.

Why does our body make excess Inflammation?  I go with the theory that the processed, pesticide and anti-biotic ridden food, we consume...  Does.  The body becomes almost overwhelmed with trying to eliminate all this "shit," and we get Inflammation, in the process.

Being able to eat only Juicing, for a period of time, is a Cleanse.  Allowing our bodies to eliminate the "crap."  But Paul (our doc) putting me on this regimen of Prensidone, to clear up my allergy stuff, is almost a Cleanse too.

 (Family over, to open pool...)

So, now....  When I stop the meds, I am back on my own.  Do I NEED sugar, processed foods, cakes, pies, cookies, etc.....  Do I NEED these things MORE, than TRYING to be (mostly) pain free?!?  We shall see...

So far, I use local Honey for my decaf...  We have cut out processed foods.  Are eating Organic, and only Organically grown meats, chicken, etc.  (One does NOT have to eat much meats, btw.  We teach ourselves, that we do need meat, meat, meat.)  ~~~~   But I have a ways to go.  I have to learn to bake, without the use of regular sugar or any of its equivalents.

(Dust catcher --  Pretty dresser scarf  --  Dust catcher  --  OUT of bedroom)

I could have given click-able links, to information.  But we are all rushed.  If you want more, go to the Mayo Clinic web site and type in Inflammation.

Sorry the Class was so long.

Thank you for your patience.

Class dismissed.

:-)

Glad that you are feeling better. Yucca is very good for arthritis pain. I try to eat it several times a week, and other days I take the yucca pills.

Yep it is all the garbage in the food that causes it. Or body is spending too much time getting rid of the shit that it doesn't have enough time to spend repairing and such.

Lots of toxins in this world. Now I had the most delicious organic corn on the cob with an olive oil spread yesterday and have paid the price royally ever since. Guess that it's a matter of learning what isn't working for us. Prednisone can certainly be a blessing when it is needed.

Celebrex works for me!
Wish there was a middle of the road - not entirely pain FREE but at least not TOO much of it!!

i like all the photos, especailly the first two of your hubby.. glad you are feeling better, prednisone is a wonder drug and fixes much but also makes many things go wrong. it made my dad crazy, really crazy as in hallucinations and even the small dose i took for sinus infection made me have nightmares. and it destroys things in the body... fixes some things but as bad for the body as the foods you mentioned.

I'm so happy to hear you are feeling great again! Oh to be pain free. I don't know if I've mentioned it before, but I'm doing the cinnamon/honey that supposedly is good for many things. I haven't taken it long enough to see any change yet. You can be sure if I start dancing around while doing my housework, I'll post about it! :)

I do agree that there is so many additives in our foods today that it is surely causing inflammation/health issues of one kind or another. Unfortunately, I don't seem to be strong enough to give up those foods yet. Maybe some day.

Auntie, I think as we age, we have a little more problems with digestion, so we need to eat less meats and over processed things. Our food has changed through the years. I was on a nine day Prednisone...it helped with my eczema and arthritis. Doesn't last long enough...but I would never want to take that stuff too long. Just glad to hear your allergies are gone for now. xoxo,Susie

I love to talk about this kind of stuff! I really try to watch my diet to see if things help or harm my fibro.

Happy Tuesday!

A good lesson, Auntie, but one that I hate to hear. I love all kinds of foods, and giving things up is difficult. I've already discovered that eating anything with sugar in it at night will make me wake up and have insomnia. That happened to me last night; I just had to have that big spoon of ice cream. *sigh*

So glad you're feeling better; especially to be able to lift off the potty with one "umph." :)

Inflammation...just saying the word gives me pain. I do think it is the food we eat along with body abuse in our youth. Enjoy your brief time with out inflammation ....

So so glad that you are feeling so much better.
We have cut our meat down to 3 days a week...the rest of the week, we have veggies, fixed different ways,...beans and cornbread...veggie soups....eggs....too much meat is just flat not good for the body.
Again, so glad to hear you are better.
I wish I could bring THE TEACHER a shiny red apple for this great post.

I giggled when I read the toilet rock and roll. I've had to do that too but now both my knees have been mended its not so much an issue except when the arthritis kicks in when it's cold out.
Glad to hear you feeling better with each day that passes. Yay!
