Oy. I hope it is fixable!
Oh no!! Hope it's not as bad as you think. I would surely miss you!!
Hope that it is not your computer! I will say a prayer. I so enjoy your blog don't want to lose you now.
Oh dear. Mine did that as well. I thought it was my computer but it turned out that it was the monitor. Check that out before anything. They only have so many years. The computer man told us I was lucky to have gotten five years out of it.
I'll miss you, dear friend, should you disappear, but, alas, in a few days I shall be disappearing as well until I get back to work or they hook up my internet.

Mac Cleaning
Mac computers do not have a registry in the formal sense of the word, but Macs do keep a cache of recent activity, including applications and documents opened, URLs visited and a host of other operating information. If they are not regularly cleaned, the caches on your Mac system can grow large and cause the same types of slowdowns and crashes that take place on a Windows system.
While Mac operating systems are designed with maintenance tasks built in that clear the system caches of old and unneeded files, if the computer is in sleep mode or is shut down during this scheduled maintenance, these tasks will not run. If your computer is running slowly, attempting to clear the caches manually could help. MainMenu and Mac Janitor are two free programs that allow you to run Mac maintenance scripts manually and clear these caches.
HOPE THIS HELPS AUNTIE!
