UPDATE:

Picture which was here, removed

(Btw, Susan Branch is giving some "Free-bee'es" on her blog.  Above, is one.  :-)

 ~=~=~
I posted the above, yesterday.  But crossed it out, in today's update.  Because...

I have been informed by a Dear Blogging Friend, that once, she thought she could use Susan Branch free stuff on her own blog.  But S.B. informed her that we were not to use any of her art on the blogs.  This Blogging Friend and I thought when she said FREE, it was FREE to use any way we wanted. S.B asked my friend to remove all the art she had used, which she did.  And my Friend advised me to proceed with caution.  So, I removed the "ding-dang free S.B. thing".

YES!
S.B. has a right, to her ownership of her art.  It was the "Free,"
that I don't understand.

I follow her blog because of you. Free is free.

I would think free meant you could use it too.

I think I can help with the "free thing" :-) If you go to my web store, I give away "free PDF downloads" (as it says on my website--free as downloads) for stationery you can print out, really cute bookmarks, gift tags, and score sheet . . . and screensavers too (wallpaper)--four different ones for everyones' computers. I also give away free apron patterns. It's my copyrighted artwork, all designed for you to use, free. But I ran into several people who were doing their entire websites in my art -- not only taking art from the free stuff, but from google images and from my blog too -- just helping themselves, and not giving me any credit -- no links back or my name or anything -- which I really don't think is fair. So that's what happened. Long story, sorry! Free as downloads, not free to decorate your blog with (unless you ask, and give credit, as requested on my blog) and not free to print out and sell at the Farmer's Market! Hope this makes sense. Thanks for letting me say that!

Oh. I was wondering myself, but Susan has explained it perfectly. Too much of the kind of thing she described and she'd be losing her livelihood. Not cool!
