This is the April Page on my Mary Engelbreit Calendar. Isn't that the cutest thing? And the quote which goes with it, is perfect. For the illustration. :-)
"Reserve your weekends for leisure.
You're worth it!"
~~Jeff Davidson
Oh I know, this isn't always possible. Especially for ladies with a full time job, and children, and a house to keep up with too.... But it's a lovely dream.
♥
And more than a dream, for we ladies who have an "empty nest," and no job to go to. Other than keeping up with our own *nest.*<---Which job, I do not diminish in the least! THIS is still a job! And the older we get, the more difficult it becomes. But............
♥
With luck, later life can provide more *time for us.*

Did you ever hear of a wedding superstition/tradition, of...
♥
"Burying an unopened bottle of bourbon one month before the wedding, at the exact time of the wedding, at the site of the wedding, ensures good weather on the day of the event."
♥
I found this cute item, on "Between Naps On The Porch" blog... Where she is VERY tuned to all-things-Wedding! Because her son is to be married, in a couple of months.

OH OH... I see the "April Fool's Joke" bug, has struck in Pretty Blog Land.
♥
-sigh-
♥
Nope, I refuse to play along.
♥
Won't.
♥
Won't.
♥
Won't.

Yes, I'm just a *GRUMP*!!!

The top of the Old World Wine Rack... Which was put in the annual Wood Worker's Show this weekend.
♥
"Uncle A."made the top. The dark piece of wood, in the middle, is over 100 years old, and was given to them.
♥
Our son-in-law did the iron work for the rack itself, which goes below the top (naturally). I didn't get a picture (yet) of the whole thing together.
♥
But this picture shows why my husband loves, loves, loves wood! :-)

Love that picture. Used to love lounging about in grandma's hammock.
April Fools on a Sunday is my cup of tea. Don't have to worry about those pranks...although I have to admit, usually I am the prankster.
I've been seeing that Blogger will be doing some updating in April. Hope that doesn't mess with our blogs again.

The top of the wine rack is really beautiful! I'd love to see the whole piece. Uncle A is very talented!

A beautiful piece of wood! I vote for seeing the whole thing too!
I too would like to see all of the wine rack.
