♥ Books,books,books,books,books

 ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

"Wicked" is coming to a lovely theater, in a city near us.  We don't drive at night, so we won't be seeing it.  Would you believe, I've never read the book?!?!  Must remedy that...  -sigh-

~~~~~~~~~~~
'Course now, I'm into (one of) my "Austen-esque Period(s)" of reading.  ,-)  I've done this before.  But anyway, I just finished...
"Definitely Not Mr. Darcy" by Karen Doornebos.  -sigh-  Kinda' fun.  Kinda' lonnnnng.  Interesting plot tie-up in the end.  But a bit too much of the *bodice ripper* style prose for my taste.
~~~~~~~~~~~

Have previously read Shannon Hale's "Austenland: A Novel" and "Midnight in Austenland: A Novel".   Do you Dear Reader, go through your "Austen-esque Period" bouts of reading?  ,-)

~~~~~~~~~~~
But I also have a "Southern Gothic Period" of reading going, too.  Eeeek!  ,-)   I read...
"The Vespertine" by Saundra Mitchell.  (How could anyone resist that cover pic???)  Have to admit, I got lost though.  Only straightened out the time-line, later.   -sigh-  Dense me...  ,-)
~~~~~~~~~~~

 Have begun Celestine Sibley's "Ah, Sweet Mystery."  A mystery novel, set in the South.
~~~~~~~~~~~
Waiting in the library for me is...
"Shadowed Summer" by Saundra Mitchell...  ("...heady mix of ghost story and mystery, drenched in the languid, humid atmosphere of a small Louisiana town...")  Which description goes on to say that it should appeal to adolescent Twilight fan girls.  LOL...!!!  Yup!!!!  My kind of book!!!!   ,-)
~~~~~~~~~~~

And then...

"The Shadowy Horses" by Susanna Kearsley, is also waiting in the library.    (...complete escape... Gothic suspense...)  -smile-

~~~~~~~~~~~
-chuckle-  No one can accuse me of too much deeeeeeeeeeeep reading of late, hu?  ,-)
No one ever said what we read had to be deep and non-fiction. What's more important is that we keep reading and derive pleasure from the read
Hugs,
Pennty.
i can Truthly say i have never been guilty of deeeep reading. i love shallow reading and the shallower the better. i will be reading my mystery later today. bing on the who done it. i did have a gothic romance period years ago, and a western period and a historical romance, all of which i have abandoned
Please tell no one, but I only enjoy Austen in movie form. The books? Not so much.
I am currently reading non-fiction, which is just fine by me.
Glad that the sun is sunning and I do hope and pray that it stays that way for a few days at the very least. My body needs sunshine.
