An example of what's necessary, in all this dark, gray, dull, rainy weather... Leaving small ambiance lights on, all day, helps. I love ambiance lighting anyway. And these spots of light, in the den, kitchen and hearth room, seem to boost the mood of the house.
"The mood of the house"... It seems that a house can display moods. If things are left cluttered all over, and the shades are drawn all day........ A house can seem kind of moody and sad. But if things are kept neatly in their place, and windows are open to allow daylight to come in, the house seems happy and content. Maybe....??? :-)

Do you *panini*???
Panini (sandwich)
The term "panini" refers to any pressed and toasted sandwich...
By use of sandwich presses, or "panini presses."

We do love our Panini Press (pictured 2 pics up). It's one of those purchases, which has really "paid off" so to speak. We finally got one, and have been using it happily, ever since.
Now that I have found a local bakery, which makes quite delicious Gluten Free Bread, I can enjoy sandwiches again!!!!! And he uses whatever regular bread, he has at the moment. You can put most anything-and-everything in between the bread slices!!! A balanced meal, in a sandwich, even! ,-)
And it's just a nice size. So I am not tempted to eat, beyond being satisfied. And delicious! That's the most important part. It's DELICIOUS! They all are. All the different variations of what we've made, so far.
Sooooooooooooooo, do you *panini*???

Of course I love food of any kind.

I do have one...it's in the basement. Perhaps I need to get it up from there and clean it and make something yummy for lunch. Thanks for the suggestion. And, I imagine that your compressed gluten free bread tastes all that much better in the panini maker.
Oh these dull days are taking a toll. I'm ready for bed and it's not yet ten in the morning!
That lovely looking sandwich is making me hungry and it's not anywhere near lunch time! I don't Panini, but I make grilled sandwiches which are probably close to the same thing?
Cute little footsie there. Is that your grandson's?
Hope your weather gets better soon!
so precious feet. and i love panini but did not know what it is called. and we have one in the cabinet that has not been used in years, mainly because i forgot about it. i will drag it out and see if it works. i put it away because we ate so many of them we got sick of it. thanks for the reminder.
i love ambiance lights from ones like yours to candles and on dark days they make me feel warm and safe. i also love bright light coming through clean glass, that makes me happy happy and when it shines on dust free, oh my
I do love panini. This is something I have to get...along with a George Foreman grill.

Love that last photo, and I so agree with you about the ambient lighting in the home. Especially on dark, dreary days, I love to light all the lamps and immediately feel lovely and cosy! Yes, we have a sandwich toaster as well, and they are very tasty!
I love Panini sandwiches but I've never made one at home. There are a few places around here that make delicious ones, but I think I shall have to make some at home too.
My husband likes panini's. I'm not that into them. We don't have a panini maker. We had a chance to buy one but we bought that clock (I posted) about instead. I'll get panini's when I go out to eat at times.
We love paninis. Don't make them often, but they sure are good. Wish I could send you sunshine.. we're finally experiencing lots of it.
I LOVE your lamp light and am crazy jealous over that wallpaper!!
Yes, homes have moods. I love that about them. You can tell just by walking up to someone's door what kind of people live there.
My house is warm and cozy. I feel like it hugs me when I come home after being away....
We don't have a panini but I do make wonderful sandwiches in my waffle maker. It works like a charm. We just had one the other morning for breakfast...I think I even have a post in draft about it.:))
and, we sleep a lot later than we used to but go to bed a lot later, as well.
