"Between The Lines"
by Jodi Picoult and Samantha Van Leer (mother and daughter)
Simply delightful YA (Young Adult) book!!!
I'm 75, and I had fun with it. ,-) And I could recommend it to any teen and be relaxed with the recommendation. And recommended it, to my soon-to-be 14 Granddaughter.
I've read a lot of YA books... Some are simply, kind of ditzy-teen-stuff. Some have characters experiencing things, which are beyond what a teen should read, in my humble opinion. But this one is fun, and unique, and with a catchy ending. :-) Without the addition of sex-sex-sex. ,-)

More *watering* being done. -giggles- Sometimes it seems that a "Gardner," just has to water, and water, and water, and water, and water... ,-) With Daddy on hand, of course.

A couple of Cosmos peeking out, among the "Faerie Bells," of the Hosta in bloom. :-) I love the Hosta blossoms, which remind me of Faerie Bells or Faerie dresses or some such. "Anything Fairy" is wonnnnnnnnnnderful, to me, of course! :-)
(Just the Post Office... Across the street from the Bank, which I showed you the other day. Look on the left of the pic, and you'll see the 'bunting' and flags, on the side of the Bank...)
Excellent "Ear News"!!! :-))))) For a while now, "Uncle A." has been experiencing a plugged up right ear. It didn't hurt. Just felt 'plugged' and he couldn't hear out of it. So he used whatever he got in the drug store, to help clear out ear wax. But......... To no avail.

Another pretty house, in my city. Love, love, love porches!

But sad to say, not all houses in my town, are pleasing to my eye. This relatively new one, is ugly in my estimation. Ugly, modern, boxes piled on top of one another, blahhhhhh color scheme, etc.

I said, call our doc Paul. He did. Paul worked him in the next day, today. If it was painful, he'd have been in yesterday, but it was not. Soooo, Paul looked in and said a cleaning out of ear wax was needed. But done there, in the office. By a very nice expert nurse. For good measure, she did the other ear too. And he is soooooooooooooooo happppppppppy. Naturally.~♥~♥~
He can hear again! All the nutty sounds-in-his-ear have ceased, toooooo. Etc. Hooooray!!!! :-)~♥~♥~♥~♥~

Love the old brick.~♥~♥~
Love the pretty way the trim and shutters are painted.~♥~♥~
Love the flag flying.~♥~♥~
Love the old wooden door.~♥~♥~♥~♥~

Yes, he is flying an American Flag. But on equal footing with another country's flag! Yish... If he likes that other country so well, why doesn't he go, live there?!?~♥~♥~
Is "Auntie" grumpy, when looking at this ugly Box? Yes Ma'am, she is. But this is my blog, and my pictures in it, and I can decide what architecture pleases me, and what does not. :-)))))))) ~♥~♥~♥~♥~♥~♥~

Does it help that I think it's unattractive as well? Definitely lacking in character and it is not an inexpensive building so it's a matter of taste. Whoever built it has none. Hahahahahaha...It's not my blog, but I can agree with you.
What a cutie pie gardener you have there.
I have always imagined that going to the doctor for a plugged ear would be painful. Glad to know that it wasn't and that your hubby can hear again.
BTW, I see green hearts all over the place. Very cool and refreshing.
Yes it does look like boxes on boxes...but being a linear thinking, i find it somewhat appealing. Would I build it..NOPE....would I buy it...NOPE lol I also love your quote at the end lol SO true
Glad that Uncle A got the ear figured out. I used peroxide followed by alcohol to unclog mine.

Wish I could borrow your gardener for a bit! Look at those little curls!
Good to know that there are good clean teen books out there for our young'uns. Too much trash.
I vote for the "box-house" people to go home, too, if they are going to fly another flag besides the American flag. Guess it depends upon why they are here... and No, I don't care for that house either IMHO.
There's my opinion - I think you and I are on the same page!
"Auntie", I always enjoy your photos so much! Your gardner is adorable...how precious!!!
I also look for books for my 10 year old grand-daughter. She loves to read...just like her grandmother :)
I am not a fan of that house either. I love the old architecture. I am not into the "boxy" look. But I love the photo of the post office! I am a retired postal employee :) As for the flags...in my opinion as long as the American flag is the larger, more prominent flag and is displayed above any other flag, hang as many as you want! Just saying :)
Great photo's this morning. I know Uncle A's feeling about plugged ears. Happens to me all the time!! Enjoy your day, and make a little trouble for someone, so they don't take you for granted!
You always have the best book recommendations! Thanks for sharing and I am so glad your husband is feeling better!
blessings,

Thanks for the book recommendation!
I'll look for it for our Sam...
So glad hubby can now hear!

I'm not crazy about the building block house either. I like bump outs and angles and lots of character and yes a nice big front porch!!
Good news about Uncle A's ears!! : )
We need to borrow your gardener! :) As for the two flags, well, I look at it like this...America is the big 'melting pot'. It is how we came to be. I think of it as that person honoring their heritage and their ancestors, not as saying America is any less. So guess I'm with Jan. :)
I love the first house but the second one is very unattractive and unappealing, imo! Your little gardener is a charmer!
It reminds me of boxes stacked up on each other....my daughter too has had a stopped up ear...it unstopped for a few hours then stopped back up...she is using ear drops for wax....it is a slow process...
