♥ Does "size matter"...? And other *riveting* matters... ,-)

: ~ : ~ :  : ~ : ~ : ~ : ~ : ~ : ~ :

Since I prefer to see BIG PICS in blogs I read, I want them BIG here in my blog.  I have changed Width Settings, to give me more "posting" space, and less "Background" space.

I'm on a big screen iMac, so it's fine here.  And it's fine, on other big screen Macs.  And probably fine, on big screen Pcs too.  But no one knows what our blog looks like, on any other blogger's computer.

ADDITION:

Sandra at "Mad Snapper" blog sezzzz/commented; "your blog look perfect on my 15 inch lap top and on my big screen desk top. fits perfect on either one."

So I'm wondering, how-come some are having so much trouble?

I seem to be WAS in a "Magical-Forest-Setting" sort of a Blog Look Phase.  ,-)   Rather dark-all-over.  This makes viewing my photos, more difficult, for some...    I'll probably move on, "Out-Of-The-Forest" eventually, though.

Do you notice that your "My-Blog-Look" preferences change, over time.  Do you move from a darker look, to a lighter look?  Etc.?

Or perhaps, you don't change your Blog Look much, at all.  Which is a personal choice.

Or perhaps, you have a kind of a Theme, to your "Blog-Look"?  As in, always made up of soft colors?  Or always a version of  a "Mostly-White-Blog-Look"?  Or always a version of  a "Mostly-Bright-Blog-Colors"?
: ~ : ~ :  : ~ : ~ : ~ : ~ : ~ : ~ :

I wonder why I like a dark blog ambiance, at times?  And then, why do I like a lighter blog ambiance, at times?  Why do I tend to tiny, soft, flowers for Background, sometimes...?   Why do I want to switch to a bright red/and/white/plaid Background, sometimes...?  :-)

Do you ever wonder about "The Why" of your own personal Blog Look Choice?????????

"Uncle A.'s" Spider Plants from seed, are going marvelously.   We always used to have Spider Plant flowers.  Then we couldn't get them, in plants.  So he grew his own.  And he'll save the seeds, for next year.  :-)

Next door, daugher-in-law's Daisies and Bee Balm are blossoming.

BOOKS!

"43 old Cemetery Road...  Over My Dead Body"  by Kate Klise.  Kids book, but so, so, so cute.

"Gone Girl" by Gillian Flynn...   NOT a kids book.   But it seems to be very popular now, so I thought I'd give it a chance.   At first, I was bored.  And I don't  really LIKE either of the main characters.  But then, I kept going...  And now.....  I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HOW IT ENDS!!!  :-)   So, that makes for a good read.  To me anyway.

Anyone else out there, reading this?  I don't want to discuss it yet, as I have a bit more to go.  Just, are any Dear Readers reading it or have read it???

Also next door, do you see *Bad Kitty*?  Why do I call her *Bad Kitty*?  Because she is brand new there, and has usurped *Lucky's* watching-spot in the porch window.  Grrrrrr.....
: ~ : ~ :  : ~ : ~ : ~ : ~ : ~ : ~ :

Old "Lucky" is their FIRST cat.  "Uncle A." made a little triangular sitting-spot, for "Lucky" to watch-the-world-go-by.  Ding-dang *Bad Kitty* just walked in and took "Lucky's" sitting-spot over.    Grrrrrr....

You know how "Auntie" is incensed by what she perceives, as being UNFAIR!!!  Grrrrrrr....
,-)

Wellllllllllllllllllllllll...  It IS unfair!  -pout-

sounds like Uncle A better be building a second spot for the other kitty. your blog look perfect on my 15 inch lap top and on my big screen desk top. fits perfect on either one. so scratch that wonder from your list.
i like dark look best, mine has been mostly black for all the years i blog. but each blogger likes something different and that is good because what if every blog was just the same, we would not know whom we were visiting. i do have trouble reading some blogs because of my eyesight, but i enlarge the screen if needed.

What a perfect picture of that kitty looking out of the window. My blogs very in color, but I always try to have enough contrast so that the writing can be easily read. I've come to some blogs where the blog itself is dark, but beautiful, but the text cannot be made out because it is just as dark. Then, I have to highlight just to read.

My blog choice right now is to have a "cooler look" because so many are in the boiling zone. I think your blog has a "cool" look now, too. Today I notice that on my computer your sidebars are coming into the main portion of your post. A little tricky, but not a big problem. Oh I do not like it when older cats allow themselves to be "ruled" by young'uns that need to learn their place. I wonder if I allow this attitude to reflect in other areas... You always leave me with things to ponder.

I shift my backgrounds by season, but I always get them from other sites.
I did notice that yours got BIG, but if I can't see the right side of the page, I just move the bar at the bottom. Poor little Bad Kitty -- she'll probably always be stuck with that moniker!
Peace,
Muff

I'm not reading the book you mentioned. Haven't done much reading at all lately.

When I first change the look of my blog around I like it a lot and then I get tired of it and change it again. I'm like that with things in the house too. Always moving things around.
I don't change my picture blog around much though because I just like the pictures to stand out.
