Sat. dawns hazy... The kind of morning when you just have to take your camera out, early...
Obviously, the little tree in our front yard.... Grew!!! :-) It gives too much shade, to part of his front perennial garden. But it does also give shade, to that part of the driveway. For when we don't want to put the car into the garage...
(Taken, across the road in front... At my wee little *Magic Forest*)
No, it's not REALLY *MY Little Magic Forest*. ,-) But it's been there, since before we built here, decades ago. It belongs to near-by college, as a forever-wild spot.)
So, for those of us who live across from it.... It can be considered OURS!!! :-)))))
(And a bit later --- Here comes the sun!!!!)
It should be a fantastic day at the Track. Which means, it will thus be a good day, for the local economy. :-)))) My city doesn't live-just-for the Racing Meet, any more. It's a 12 month place. But, a good Meet, certainly helps. :-)
(Rust... -grin-)
Yes, this is obviously a photo of RUST. But.... What is it? And where is it? ,-)
Just a fun question, of course....
(Clean berries in a jar...)
I'm trying a new way of keeping fresh berries clean and refrigerated and ready to use. (Mostly because I'm such a lazy wimp, that I hate to have to clean-a-few-berries, in the morning.) But "they say" don't clean berries ahead of time, 'cause they will grow mold. Well, so far so good, for this method. We've used up the jar of clean berries, without any mold.
Btw, I do not put any sugar on them, in the jar. If we need some, we can put it on, when we use them. Perhaps....... Adding sugar to clean, refrigerated berries, quickens the mold growth???? Perhaps???And no, I did not do the Trick which "BJ" ('Sweet Nothings' blog) shared, from someplace... Rinsing them in some cleaning sort of a mixture. Just took the put-'em-in-a-jar-part of the idea. :-))))))

There they are, and they are beautiful."

Your header shot is beautiful! The mists make for cool looking photos. You do live in a great looking neighborhood.
Love the quote! Have a nice weekend!
What a lovely view you have! I don't like blueberries -- never have -- but everyone else around here loves them. I'll try the jar idea.
Peace,
Muff
Beautiful shots. I love those misty mornings. Something magical about them.

I'm glad you have your wee magical forest where one can play with the fairies. :)
G'morning, Auntie,
Yes, we are home from our vacation romping and glad to be here. I love going to other places...the lake for a week, then the mountains for another week, but, as Dorothy said, there's no place like home. We are in for a few days of yard work but basically, the lawns and flowers survived the vacation time. All our neighbors that generally water for us while gone were also on vacation...as well as all our family.
I tried the vinegar/water treatment on some strawberries that DID NOT WORK.
I might give your jar a try next. :)
Hope u're summer is going good. I love these photos. :)
Hi "Auntie"!!! Beautiful shots again...you know that I love those nature photos :)
As to your "mystery" photo...is is a trailer hitch on a bumper?
I love blueberries!!! I will try your tip for sure :)

I like a morning that starts in mist. We had bright sun from the git-go.
We're having a big race here this weekend, too, only no horses are involved, just horse power. Vroom, vroom...
What a great idea!!! I'm going to try it!

Love your header picture. Those shots around your home are really great and I love how you captured the morning mist! Great Post...thank you for sharing them!
How nice to have that pretty magical forest to look at and know it won't be mowed down for some sort of development.
It seems I am washing berries every morning. Nice to know this secret with the jar. Now maybe I can cut it down to once a week.
Enjoy your weekend.
Great on your local race meeting.Back in the mid-eighties, I owned a couple of gallopers. They both performed very well, even at the Metropolitan meetings.
Regarding my own blog comments. I hope all is right with you now. I have replied to your most recent very welcome comment. Please continue to keep in touch.
These are such beautiful pictures. Morning Mists......that's not something we see in Texas very often and certainly not at this time of year. We are in the triple digits now. I am looking forward to FALL!
Lovely post!!!
Seeing those morning photos is one reason I love walking in the morning.
I call the lake I walk around 'my' lake so know what you mean about calling your bits of woods yours. : )
