♥ This 'n that...And questions...And this 'n that... :-)

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Had started eating my yummmmy meal, when I thought of it being a Photo Op!  Soooo, I dropped my fork(s), got my camera, and....  There you have it.  :-)
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

His "humongoussssssssssss" tomato plants!  Lots and lots of blossoms, but finally......  2 wee green tomatoes!   ~~~~~~   'Uncle A.' had to prop the plants up more.  By cutting some wood strips, and tying them together at the top, kind-of like a tepee...

Btw, it's been raining some much-needed-rain around these parts, for a couple of days.  But I had these sunny-pics, so I use them today.  :-)
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

One of the 5 frogs!  Yup!  We have 5 frogs in the little pond now.  One of them, "Uncle A." rescued out of the pool skimmer and put it in with the others....   To make 5.  :-)
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

(One of his Old Roses)

It's unusual, to wake to rain, and be over-joyed.  But with our lack of water back-up....  Our area needs rain.   ~~~~~~~   But being human.....  Now it's getting a bit *old* though.......  Grayness and rain...  But I must remember the drought.
 ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

(Looking across 'Uncle A.'s' front perennial garden, to the great white Hydrangeas....  In front of son's house next door....)

These white  Hydrangeas, bloom profusely.   But we had pink, blue, etc. ones...  Which bloomed marvelously, the first year.  Ever since, they have *done-diddily-pooooh.*  Grrrr....   Any colored Hydrangeas experts out there???????    Any suggestions?????

We are about ready to chop 'em down and be done with 'em!!!!   We are highly *not amused.*   One gorgeous blooming year.  Then phfffffffffft...    -pout-

(Another of the Old Roses...)

Do you ever keep going to the grocery store...?  And keep forgetting one item...?  One necessary item...?   I keep forgetting laundry liquid!!!!!  I did this morning's daily wash, and it's TIME to remember!  My bottle has maybe one-more-wash in it.  LOL.   Gotta' get 2, and have a back-up.

We like to do that, with many items.....  Keep a backup(s).   He built shelves in garage-work-shop and we can keep them there.  This way we don't have to find storage room IN THE HOUSE.  But they are still, close enough at hand, to easily get.

(And yet another Old Rose...)

Btw, have you noticed?  The summer is silently slipping away...   -sigh
I know!  I know!  People with unrelenting heat/humidity, are happy to see it go.

And lots of people (me included) have Autumn, as their Favorite Season.  Though this is true for me, I never wish any form of time, to go by quicker than it must.  Sure you say, "Auntie" being "Olden" at 75, that's understandable.  But...   It didn't take me till I got to 75, to feel this way.

After all, we all know our life span on this Earth, is limited.  Why wish-away any of it?<---In my humble opinion, that is.  :-)

Oh and don't forget!!!  Please don't forget!!!  I am not looking forward to any 'Pearly Gates', so please don't tell me how; "The best is yet to come."  'Cause no body knows.  IMHO, also, I know.  :-))))
 ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

I snapped this pic, the other morning, coming in from getting the papers...  It just looked so pretty, the morning sunlight filtered through the side trees...  Dappling the front patio...  Which we call "The Stoop," for fun.
And I used it, for my header pic, for now.  It's too high and not wide enough for a proper header pic.  But I liked the look of it so much, that I used it.  Proper size or not.  -grin-

Close thy eyes,
Chant
This year,
Next year,
Sometime,
Never,
If one clock remains,
We will be together."

glad you stopped and snapped your plates, beautiful plates and food, great shot. i take a list to the store and come home without the item on the list i need most. my dad always put rusty steel under the blue hydrangeas, he kept any that he got from using his grinder and got some from friends.

Now I thought that our tomato plants were huge as they are up over the fence, but Uncle's started on the ground so he wins.

No mention of bad storms yesterday so I'm assuming that all is well in your corner.

"Auntie", I am so happy that you enjoyed my photos of homes in my town today...thank you for this lovely idea :)

The food looks "yummy" and I love, love, love those plates!

"Uncle A." has gogreat tomato plants and those wood strips work great!

Always love your pond "pics" and those adorable frogs.

Lovely rose photos. My late mother-in-law always had roses growing in her yard...Rose was her middle name.

I must stop wishing my time away...great advice!

Your header photo is lovely. It's your blog, do whatever you want with it :)

Hugs,
Jan

So beautiful. And yes, your meal does look scrumptious.

Wanted to take an opportunity to thank you for your concern about the fire yesterday. Fortunately, my home is not nearby.

We did have a tremendous storm last night that I got caught in, drenched, and thoroughly enjoyed.

Our tomatoes are growing rapidly; alas, no fruit, yet. I love hydrangeas -- we never had success with them, though. I also like to dry them and make arrangements or wreaths with them. Enjoy the rain -- we got some also!
Peace,
Muff

I'd like to snitch some of your son's hydrangea blooms to dry! Our hydrangea isn't doing well this year.

Your photos are all lovely. The food, the flowers, etc.

Send us some of your rain, please!!!!

In order to get blue hydrangeas you have to add a LOT of acidic dressing to the soil. Less acidic will give you the pink, but you must have the acid or you get no color.

Love this post, your son's hydrangeas are lovely. I wish I had some. Next spring's project is to do some landscaping in the front of the cottage. I will have to plant some. Time flies when you're having fun, I must be having a blast!! Have a great weekend,

I don't wish any of my time away either and never have.

BUT I do know that this life is only temporary and I will spend eternity with God and other believers. Just had to say that even if you don't believe it : ) AND that makes me sad.
