ADDITION: RE: PICMONKEY
This is still a quite-new-computer. I have not installed all the "bells/and/whistles" which are randomly called for. Like, I can see some videos, and can not see other videos. Without "doing something." I have a horror of messing with my computer settings. Have had horrible experiences, in the past, doing so.
So basically, I do not try to "add this and that," which some sites tell me I *need* to. I choose this.
Those I-can't-see-videos, I can easily live without. Programs like Pic monkey and all the jazzzzz they allow, I can also live without. If any place tells me to do this or do that, to view them..... I move on. :-))))

Yesterday I rewarded myself for all my previously done work, by bringing down some Halloween Decorations. !!!!!!!!!!!! Then I had to take the stuff off the mantle, and that's as far as I got. lol. But it's a start anyway!
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Just a Deva black cotton hat... Which I found, in my de-cluttering...
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
But I had hung it over the spindle of the old rocking chair... Same way as I hang my straw hat over the other spindle. Then I noticed!!!!! This way, it looks like a Witch's Hat. -grin- How purrrrfect for the season!!!!
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
We like to keep our ready-to-be-spooned-into-coffee-sugar, in a secure glass jar. We had a much chunkier glass jar, but it was kind of unwieldy... Taking it out of cupboard and putting it back in... I was going to look for a smaller sized container.
♥
But, I finally realized I had the perfect solution, right here. In among my "glass-jars-which-food-came-in-and-I-can't-put-in-the-recycling-stuff". ,-) I don't keep as many of these, as I would like to keep. -sigh- Just some. And this one was a perfect size.
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
We needed a jar, tall enough to allow the sugar spoon to be kept right in it. :-) And WHY did I tell you this, with pictures? Mostly, "Because I Can" I guess. -grin-
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
And a Surprise Photo Op! Walking from kitchen to hearth room, I happened to notice (out through patio door/window) how pretty a neighbor's tree looked! The afternoon sun was perfectly highlighting how lovely the pink flowers on it, looked. So........ Grab camera..... Go out for a Surprise Photo Op....
♥
Picture taken from our back patio steps, across our fence, and then across D-i-law's back yard and back fence.... And finally picking up Kathy's pretty tree. :-)
♥
Would I have noticed, and gotten as much pleasure out of that random moment.... If I wasn't tuned to "notice" neat Photo Ops? Maybe yes. Maybe no. But I choose to think Yes. It was because I love my camera. :-)

Ahhhhhhh, Autumn....... I'm getting "in-need" of changing my Blog Look. To something less summer-y, and more in keeping with the coming season. But oh, how to find a background?!? Yes, I used to make-my-own, but then Blogger got one pic of mine, STUCK in the place-we-make-our-own-Backgrounds. :-(((( And I couldn't replace it, with another. Got "my panties in a twist," and gave up and haven't gone back since, to try it again. -pout-
♥
Yes, there are 3 million, 2 hundred, and 99 free Background Places. But so many of them, look toooooo brrrrrrright to me. Just me again. But our own blog should make US happy.
♥
A Dear Reader told me how she makes pretty Headers herself, and thus can use an all-white-blog-look. Which is so, so, so pretty on her blog. ("BJ") I tried to use Picmonkey, but it says I have to Download 'Something'. And to Download this 'Something', I may have to 'Disable Something' on My Computer. NOOOOOOOOOOO! No! No! I will not take chances with Settings, on my Computer. I have had disasters in the past, doing such. Eeeeek! So.... There goes my easy use of Picmonkey.
♥
I'll just have to do without those pretty, cute, different, constantly changing Header Looks. Which means, I just use a picture of mine, as a big Header. And just-my-pic, along with all white blog look, is boring. Soooooo, I continue my Quest for a *purrrrfect* seasonal Blog Look. :-))))

Lovely post today. I'm getting so excited about the upcoming season.

can't imagine why it told you to download in Picmonkey, i use it and there was no download required.
i love your rocker, so pretty, i love old rockers and have one myself. so will be taking a shot of it. i don't decorate for holidays, at Christmas i put a few things in my glass shelves and that is it. my mother decorated for every holiday and had a table cloth for every holiday of the year. she had a solid color for each holiday and it went under the lace cloth that lived on the table. with candles that matched. we have our sugar in a recycled jar also. but not with the spoon in it. yours made a pretty photo to
No download on PicMonkey....can't figure out why it told you this. ...???
It is, by far, one of the best sites I've found for FUN. So sorry it isn't working for you.
I don't decorate much for fall OR Halloween. I did...when the grands were all little. I do have a few decos that I put on a chest in my breakfast room and a big ole stuffed witch I hang on the porch for Halloween. I usually put her out the night before Halloween and take her down the day after Halloween.
Loved your post today....and your photos.
xo bj
...and your blog always looks great. :)
Try PicMonkey again Auntie! You don't have to download Anything!
1. Just click on Pic Monkey
Click on Edit a Photo (blue box on the left)
2. A window from your computer will pop up.
3. Click on Pictures
4. Then double click on the folder thats holding the photo you want to edit.
5. UP pops your photo in Pic Monkey.
6. Your Edit tools are those little symbols on the Far left of your screen.
Have fun!!

Thank you to all Dear Readers, who want to help me with Picmonkey.
I added an ADDITION, to the top of this post, explaining.
Thank you.
"Auntie"
hahaha....i am the same way with my computer. i do as little as possible so i don't mess it up. i can't wait to see your halloween decorations!
Ah, Halloween! Yes! It is getting near. :) Well, I say it is near. Go Auntie! Decorate away! Forget the PicMonkey. Your blog looks fine.
Changing computer settings just scares me!!
I am anxious to decorate for fall too!! Bought 2 tablecloths at the Dollar store for our outdoor tables at the campsite. When we go home in a couple of weeks I am going to decorate the front porch there and bring back things to decorate with down here!
We are beginning to have FUN now!!
I do minimal decorating...you kind of have to look for it...it is so subtle...it works well with my decor and pocket book. I did not have to download PicMonkey either...but eventually it will not be free...I am hoping it will not be very expensive or I will have to give it up. There is another free editing site called BeFunky. I have used it a few times. You can do a lot more with your blog than I can with mine. I just use the backgrounds that are free on blogger then I only change every few years.LOL Still have not put on a header picture. I always enjoy visiting your blog.
I like picmonkey cause you don't have to download anything...I'm like you I have a new computer and don't want to put new stuff on it.. love your hat photo shoot...
I too have setting-change-phobia. Sometimes it's easier to just let things be.
Don't you find that blogging encourages photo-ops? I do. Everything is fodder for the blog. :)
Beautiful hydrangeas!
