♥ "Departing summer hath assumed an aspect..."

(Old pic, of "Our Little Pumpkin"...)

September

Departing summer hath assumed
An aspect tenderly illumed,
The gentlest look of spring;
That calls from yonder leafy shade
Unfaded, yet prepared to fade,
A timely carolling.

-  William Wordsworth

I've been asked to explain how I made my own Background, for my blog.  Since I am still exploring this ding-dang "New" Blogger thing,  I don't remember how to get to-the-place, where you do this.  Sorry...

I'll eventually come across it again.  And hope I remember to write it down in an understandable way, in my computer notebook, this time!!!

I went looking at my Autumn posts, in an old blog of mine.  This is a very pretty (if I say so myself) shot of Autumn's changing colors, of another year.    I haven't seen something like this, so far, this Autumn...

And another old photo or mine...  From 3 years ago.  :-)  I still have those Candy Corn lights...  Well, at least one line of them.  2 lines of them, were used on the mantle in this pic, but one light went out and....  -sigh-  They are cool, though.  But I don't know where to put them, this year.

Oh and -clapping hands-  Here is an old photo of my Iron Necklace, which 'Uncle A.' made for me.  Back then, I was really, really into reading about Faeries of all kinds.  And not all of them, were nice.  But Iron repels them.  So, he took a very old iron nail, from his collection of *stuff*...  Made a hole in it and hung it on a cord.

So that I could wear my "Bad Faerie Repelling Iron Necklace", when reading my books about Faeries.  :-)  I had forgotten all about that!   Must dig it out again!!!

And another old photo of mine, from a post on Sept. 17th, 2009.  I called it "[Funny little spent flower pods...]

And here is my Sept. 14th  2009 photo, which I called "Summer's Fading Beauty"...

Do you see the spider web, across the lower part of the flower?  And if you look in the middle of the spider web, you can see the spider.  :-)

Lovely pictures. Don't you just love this time of the year? I've not eaten candy corn in years. I once loved it and guess I just ate my fill of it. Too sweet for me now.

Here I was thinking that there's very little color out there only to find on my afternoon excursion that the world at large is full of beautiful color. Oh my!

I would have completely missed the web and the spider if you had not pointed them out. An iron nail, eh? Hmmm...
