Just a bunch of decorations, which I have not put up yet. Got to get going! I love those little pumpkin (Faerie) lights, but don't know where to put them, this year. Same with the old candy corn string of lights. I had them on the mantle, but they were toooooooo much, with the other things, which are up there....
Now, if Linda was here, she would have no trouble, picking out a place for them!!! :-)
Now here is a cute scene. One cat is in one place (left), and the other cat, is in another spot (right). "BK" is still a kitty, and she can fit on the not-so-wide window (l)edge. But they both prefer the extra space, in the corner, where 'Uncle A.' made a wider shelf.
Cosmos are still happily hanging-in-there!
Many, many flowers have gone to seed. But some keep right on going. Is it the same, where you are Dear Reader?
The tomato plants are no longer very *pretty,* but they are still giving ripe tomatoes. :-)
'Uncle A.' picks some for us. And then we call one of the "Grands" next door... To come over and pick some, for his family. He ("Nate") just LOVES to pick ripe tomatoes. :-) And theirs are all gone. They ripened faster than ours. But were gone sooner, too.
Waxing moon, in early evening. I went out into the pool area, to get this particular shot. And the bats were swooping around. :-) Cool to see!!! But, I also didn't want to stay out there too long. I guess I'm not all that brave. I'm not afraid-of-bats-per-say. But I'd not like one, to be coming at me! Any more than I'd like any wild creature, to be coming-at-me!
Here, and below, are cute little pictures, in "Mary Jane's Farm" magazine... Which I took my own pictures of... I just love quaint, old fashioned looking illustrations!!! Just love them! ♥
Wouldn't that picture, make a sweet coloring page, for a little girl??? (Or, for a big girl...) :-)
When I was young, I used to love to color many things, which were not in coloring books. B/W Comics, and fashion adds in the Sun. paper. Such fashion adds, were drawn, back then... ♥
I guess he is supposed to be a sort of a Butterfly Elf. But the colors, make me think of Halloween. ,-)

Is it bad that your tomato plant photo made me think of fried green tomatoes?
ok, you can't leave us hanging ... how do you do the background thingy ... i've got to figure that out. so cool!! enjoy the weekend sweetie pie. (:
Yes, the flowers are tired and slowing down. I would be, too, if I were out in those cold nights with temps only in the 60s and the shadows so long and the sun not quite reaching where it used to. One day, I'm just going to pick them all and say so long for the season. I'm tired of watering and being on bug watch.
Some of our tomatoes are so large that they burst. I don't know what causes that. And they don't ripen so it looks as if we'll be learning to enjoy some fried green tomatoes.
Have always enjoyed seeing kitties in the window. I do not enjoy seeing kitties on the table and that's where mine was this morning.
beautiful cosmos, like them a lot. and i am thinking uncle A should be adding a wider ledge for both cats. they look so cute sitting there. purrrfect place for kitties, outside and safe from harm. i would not mind coloring that girl pic. i spent many happy hours of my life coloring
Great pictures. Love it when you post pictures of the cats, cat lover that I am. I'm really having issues with this new blogger.
Mary
Our tomatoes seem to be fading rather quickly here. Still a few ripe small ones, though.
i have green tomato envy! i hardly have any tomatoes left and i so love fried green tomatoes!
We're still getting a few tomatoes, but this year's crop wasn't that successful. Neither were the flower gardens. Perhaps it was the intense heat. Love your photos!
Peace,
Muff
Our tomatoes were slow to ripen this year, it seems most of them waited until we were on vacation to turn red. Grrr.
I second Beth's recommendation that you post a how-to on making your own background. Please and thank you!
Have a wonderful weekend!
I didn't even try growing tomatoes this year.
My petunias are still blooming away.
I must have been looking at the sliver of moon the same time as you. Thought about taking a picture but never did.
We're still getting so many tomatoes from our plants that we're giving them away by the bagful to the neighbours but they're even starting to get tired of them! lol I've canned many of them but don't need any more now.
The only flowers I still have in bloom are my Black Eyed Susans, Hydrangea and Autumn Sedum. The rest are all now kaput! lol
Always enjoy looking at whatever pictures you post, I'm like you, would rather see lots of pictures in a post instead of just writing:-) xoxo
I colored for hours upon hours as a kid ... I now love coloring with the grands.I would like to know how you did your own back ground also...see how clever you are. You were worried about the change and now your a pro. :)
Don't think you have to worry about teh bats coming at you, Auntie. That is why they have radar...so they can avoid hitting things. Plus you are going to be thanking them for taking care of all those pesky mosquitoes for you!
My flower and tomato plants are all cut down, and on the compost pile. We had a hard freeze earlier this week, and are predicting a 'winter mix' of precipitation for this weekend. Enjoy the Fall season!
Hey! I'm a new follower. Nice to meet ya! Looking forward to hanging out here :-)
