♥ Happy Halloween, Samhain...

Happy Halloween, Samhain...
Happy Halloween, Samhain...

Not my wreath, but so cute...

This tree came down, Tues. afternoon.  To take this picture, I was standing beside my house, on the corner of this street, and my street.

Now it's later and they are working on taking care of it...  So far we have power.  Then again, who knows if our power will be shut down?  Perhaps I'd better get off my computer.  Try to finish, later.

Didn't finish, till this morning.  We did lose power for about a half and hour.  No big deal.

Raining this Wed. morning, but the sky is trying to get lighter.  Forecast is for 50% chance of rain tonight, and much cooler than yesterday/Tues.  I still expect 'Trick Or Treaters' to be out!  Especially after the scare, that Halloween would be *Sandy-ed-Out.*

 Five Little Pumpkins

Five little pumpkins sitting on a gate.
The first one said, "Oh, my it's getting late"
The second one said, "There are witches in the air."
The third one said, "But we don't care."
The fourth one said, "Let's run, let's run!"
The fifth one said, "Isn't Halloween fun?"

Then Woooooo went the wind
And OUT went the lights.

And five little pumpkins rolled out of sight.

What a nice post! I'm still struggling to see if I can get to work. The MTA has been far from helpful, though. Happy Halloween to you.

This is a fine Halloween post!!! I am trying to decide whether to dress up for the trick or treaters tonite or not! We do not have TV so I can't keep up with the recovery efforts along the eastern seaboard. Perhaps I can check on the Internet. That tree looked scary but I'm happy there was only ONE like that near you!
Happy Halloween!!

An adorable post....you are so cute, with your happiness and clapping of hands for Halloween. I would just LOVE to live next door to you. :))

So thankful ya'll are safe and have power...wow, they say it could be 10 days or more to get power to some folks. Bless their hearts...prayers for them.
Happy Halloween...we have 2 bowlfuls of candy for happy trick or treaters.

Happy Halloween dear Auntie:-) Oh dear, how scary for that tree to fall over like that, especially on the wires. Glad no one was hurt, though!

It's pouring rain here right now but I'm hoping it stops long enough for the trick or treaters to come by tonight. I'm dressing up as a ghost!! hehe xoxo

Cute poems! I'm so glad that things didn't get really bad for you there.

Sending warm hugs anyway!

Auntie, I will leave the answer to your question here in case you don't look at the comments again. Just click on "here" at the end of the first paragraph and it should take you to the post that explains the other happenings. I try to change the color of my link word, but b.logger won't let me, for some reason!

The only thing that will keep the candy collectors home is if the town shuts it down...rain or snow...they come. :) Love the little pumpkin poem...very cute.

We still have one of those trees leaning just about that way around the corner. The street adjoining us still doesn't have power as I can hear the generators humming. Don't know when they plan to get it taken care of. The road remains closed my son tells me.

My two trick or treaters have come and gone. They do some sort of a "trunk party" at school where everyone visits from car to car in the school parking lot. The loot is kept in the trunk. I guess some parents go all out decorating the trunks. Interesting.

I remember some of those little rhymes...

Such a cute wreath.
The fallen tree looks dangerous. Glad you are safe and sound. I saw on the local (St. Louis) news that tree cutting companies (Nelson) and our power company (Ameren)are sending trucks and workers to the East to disaster sites to help. Hopefully, with all of the states pitching in to help, it will be somewhat faster getting things to a point where at least people will have electricity again.Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween, a day late!!! We ran all day so I didn't get to blog on Halloween as I wanted.

I am happy that no one was hurt by that tree, Auntie! They kill and cripple without warning!

Love the wreath and your Halloween posts and poems~~~
