♥ Happy...... ,-)

Happy Columbus-Who-Discovered-the-New-World,-After-the-Vikings-Did Day.
-grin-

(Across the road...)
A kind of a quiet weekend, around here.  I decided to not do any housework, so that removed the *specter of un-done housework* from hanging over my head!!!  (How smart is that, hu?  -grin-)  And I just went on my merry way, doing this and that, and not feeling the GUILT of undone housework!  -Chuckle-

(From back yard...)
Not so jolly, was the fact that a spell of stiffness and ache-y-ness has set in.   I being stiff as a board, when I get up.  Can't even bend enough to tie my shoes, first thing in the AM.  Have to steady my very-stiff-self, as I walk along.   And it HURTS like hell, when I move the *wrong* way.  Stuff like that.

It has gotten cold-ish, and I was blaming that.  But he thinks it's simply arthritis.

Whatever, I need to remember to stretch in the morning.  And to apply my heating pad to my back, when in my comfy chair.  And even take a Tylenol in the afternoon, sometimes.  And wait it out, till it passes.

And it certainly helped, that I had wonderful books and DVD, to read/watch!!!   "Mariana" by Susanna Kearsley!  Oh how I love, love, love this book!!!!!!!!  I love all of S.K.'s books but this one, oh my!!!!!  The kind you don't want to end.  And which end, in a marvelously surprising way.  Purrrrrrrrrrrrrfection!  :-)

And when I reluctantly finished "Mariana"...   I picked up "Chronicles of Faerie:  The Hunter's Moon" by O.R. Melling.   Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...   I'm back into reading of the Fey!!!!!  Must get out my Iron Nail necklace!  And wear it!  ,-)

And did you ever watch an old British series, called "Pie In The Sky"?  There were only 3 episodes on this disc, but I think we'll get more of them.  From the looks of the main character, can you tell he loves food, and is a part-time Chef?  As well as his police work?  :-))))))

(Still blooming...)
We used to love to go over to a certain restaurant in town, have a leisurely drink at the bar, and then go in to eat their delicious Italian food.   But!  Since my becoming unable to eat Gluten, we can't do that anymore.  -moan-  -sigh-  -sob-  -whimper-

But I got the idea of going and getting a container of their marvelous sauce and meatballs, cooking our own pasta here, and having it all, that way.  It wasn't quite the same of course.  -sigh-   But it was still nice.  "Stay-cations" are all the rage.  So this was a "Stay-Date-Night-Out."  ,-))))))

(Very old row of trees, beside the house...)

"Sing of old Eire and the ancient ways."  ~~Yeats
Yes, this was in yesterday's crossword puzzle.  I don't do them, but 'Uncle A.' does.  I saw the quote and I loved it though.  :-))))  It so-goes-with my reading of the present!!! :-)  The Irish Fey...

And......   Lots of our teams won, at Football, over the weekend...  He watches closely, more than I do.  I mostly read.  But am happy when 'our' teams win.

Looks as if you're heading into good color. We've nearly moved beyond in my own yard. What a carpet of leaves to rake!

These are the days and evenings for good books and delightful movies. Are you watching OUAT again? I wasn't impressed with this season's premiere show and told John that I would give it another week (last night). I think I'm in for the duration now.

Sorry to hear about the achies. Not fun at all. Maybe the higher weather system, though chillier, will help.

Now why am I hungry for spaghetti and meatballs? Do you ever take the spaghetti squash route instead of pasta?

I can certainly identify with that stiffness and achiness. With an extra day off I'd looked forward to some time to sleep. Problem is, the longer I lie in bed, the more the pain sets in. Motrin has been out because it raises the blood pressure and tylenol does nothing. (((Sigh)))

It's stiffachy season here as well...I get up a few minutes early so I can get in a hot shower/bath first thing; it helps.

Hope you're feeling better soon!

Beautiful fall shots, Auntie! I hope the stiffness doesn't linger long. I've gotten a virus/bug going on here and I hope it doesn't linger long, either. Ugh! Otherwise, we have chillier, but beautiful weather. Am enjoying watching the leaves turn. Happy fall day to you!

Pretty pics of the leaves starting to turn. The books you talked about look very interesting from the art on the book covers. I'm going to look for them at the library. I know what you mean about the extra achiness in the morning. What I have wondered to myself is, why does my body care how cold the nights are outside now? We had to turn the furnace on a while back, but in the morning, when I get up, it feels like I slept outside in the cold on a pile of rocks. As for "guilt of undone housework", I almost never have that. I get "embarassment of messy house when anyone stops by" instead. You made me hungry for spaghetti and meatballs.

Sorry for the aches and pains...I don't seem to be bothered much with back problems..on the whole, I am very blessed.
Good time of year for good books..movies...I tend to like movies the best....movies and hot tea. :)
