♥ It's "That Time" again...

It's *That Time* again.  No, not election time.  A "Time" which seems to divide Pretty Blog Land, as much as election time can.  But it comes EVERY year.  Not just every 4 years.  -sigh-    What "Time" do I mean? ..........  Halloween "Time".

I am not Pagan, Christian, Jewish, or any religion.  I have "no horse in this race."  I just simply enjoy ALL Holidays.  To my mind, it would be lovely, if everyone could enjoy all Holidays.   But it is quite obvious that in Pretty Blog Land, some ladies will not *touch* Halloween.  And some will even avoid posts, which touch on Halloween.  -sigh-

I can assure you, coming to my blog, you will not find awfully creepy, scary stuff.  I don't like that stuff myself.  Nor will you find ugly old Witches.  Personally, I will not further the "Ugly Old Witch" crap, which has been around for ages.   I only have in my decorations, and show on my blog, nice Witches.  Cute.  Warm.  Friendly.   Not trying to be scary.  Etc.  Because the Witches I know, are not ugly or scary.  So there.

OK, I got this off my chest.

OK, I gave my view on this topic.  Now I would really appreciate your view on this topic, Dear Reader.   Your view.  Without fear!!!  I'm just happy that we are all free, to hold and to say our views.  May well be differing views, but still free to state them.  Yes...

Please and thank you.

i like you for you. i was raised in the Methodist church. but i really have not decided what i am. i know i have my faith. but really don't care if the ones i hang out with or talk with have the same opinion or thoughts. i like you for you. i have many friends of all beliefs & that is so cool. i listen, try to understand to make my mind feel smarter or feel or understand their ways. i love celebrating holidays. get told all the time that they are pagan tradition ... but i just enjoy celebrate a holiday for the family & friend get together be together moments. i always say agree to disagree. we can all get along... right?!! i think so. i love the 2 cats ... i went to church every sunday as a kid ... now that i am married & i'm an adult i feel i find my peace any where in nature. i love being outdoors. any ways ... i'm rambling on. be where you wish. do & love what you wish. celebrate & enjoy all moments that you love to do. it's all good. big big hugs. enjoy your day. (:

I like your attitude, Auntie. I love to collect halloween type witches but I differ with you on not collecting those that are old and kind of creepy looking. I collect Jim Shore witches (and others), and to me they are beautiful. I do not however like the "sexy" looking witches, but this is just who I am~~~

Halloween Hugs :)

I think it is so much fun to see everybody's holiday decorating, whether it be witchy, ghostly, or simply natural items found during this beautiful time of year. I thought that your displays of little Halloween figures were very cute. As for people who don't like the Halloween decorating and feel uncomfortable with it, I hope they don't get mad and stay away forever. They would be missing out by putting so much judgement on something like someone's holiday decor.

Not a fan of Halloween, though it does not prevent me from visiting you. Why? I kinda like you. ☺

If we were all the same, how boring life would be:-) I love all holidays, my two favourites being Christmas and Halloween. Many years ago when my kids were little, one of my cousins (who had changed religion and considered everything pagan) came over one Halloween morning and asked me to not send my kids out trick or treating, that it would be a sin, I would be supporting paganism, etc. Well! I'm not one to say much when confronted like but boy, oh boy, did I let her have it. I told her that my kids loved Halloween to dress up and get candy, nothing else! It was adults like HER that made it into something evil...kids don't even think that way, it wouldn't even enter their mind!! Needless to say, she left, never came back and my kids continued enjoying going out trick or treating every year:-)

I'm fine with anyone not liking Halloween, that's their
prerogative, just like it's mine to like it:-)

As for cute or scary decorations, I really don't mind either, just as long as it's not too gory. xoxo

Some people seem to take things too darn seriously and they must have too much time on their hands if they feel compelled to comment on how someone else decorates or celebrates. Open-mindedness seems to be at a premium these days. If one needs to be closed-minded, you should not expect everyone to join you in your view of the World. As Rodney King said "Can't we all just get along"? Who would have thought a day to have fun would be so polarizing. You've got a great attitude about it all Auntie.
