The photo above, is one of those purrrrrrfect Photo Op moments. Golden late afternoon sun playing on the tops of trees, across from our house. Breathtakingly lovely... That exquisite late-light...
Early morning light and late light, are marvelous. "Painter's Light"... Mmmmm....
My reading is being lovely, right now. I continue to have so much fun with this series of books, by Madelyn Alt. Each book has a mystery to be solved, of course. Otherwise it wouldn't be a Cozy Mystery. But the continuing background story of the people, living in her small town with her, etc. is even more fun. This author seems to know just where I'd like her to take the evolving background. I'd like something to happen, with the heroine, and it does! Love that kind of a book. :-)
And "Alice I Have Been" is turning out to be a page turner!!! I didn't want to put it down, at midnight last night! Me, who is ready for bed at 9PM. I'm loving it. :-))))))))

A shadow... Yes, I noticed the late afternoon light in the house, one day... And went around taking shadow pics. "Just because I can" pics, for sure.
(Stuck!!!)
A "Just Because I Happened To Notice It" pic. Somehow the wind pinned this leaf, in the pool fence. Perfectly randomly threaded, between metal parts. And then, through the chain link itself. Quite the well-done-job, I would say! Wonder how long it will stay there?
Another photo capture, of a perfect moment, in time....
Of course, the ding-dang wires certainly spoil the composition. :-(((( And if I could Photo-shop my pics, I could remove them. Which, on one hand, would be very nice. But on the other hand, if I removed the wires, it would no longer be a depiction of what-I-saw.
And I'm 'Olden' and 'Stubborn' and prefer my photos to show mostly What-I-Saw. ,-)
"When shrieked
The bleak November winds, and smote the woods,
And the brown fields were herbless, and the shades
That met above the merry rivulet
Were spoiled, I sought, I loved them still; they seemed
Like old companions in adversity."
~ William Cullen Bryant, A Winter Piece

hughugs
you're I prefer photos as they , photo shop them and that time is lost.Good morning to you, have a super duper weekend,
Beautiful Auntie! I have the same problem when I'm reding a good book
i always wonder why we have above ground lines instead of having them buried. most other countries bury all of their wires. it is a lot easier to get to them above ground! the photos of the trees are gorgeous. all of our leaves are mostly down by now.
i was out at 8 am taking pics of the sun painting the pine truck, i love anything the sun paints and changes. i have never seen aqua colored fencing, i like it and the leaf is way cool hanging there.
When I stepped out the door today to go shopping, I felt like I had stepped right back out into spring. It's so warm I have the AC back on. Of course, because of my thyroid, I am always hotter than everyone else anyway, but it is warm. At least those still without power have a reprieve from that bitter cold we have had, but nothing makes up for the comfort of having your electricity back.

What a perfect bit of poetry, ditto the autumn colour. And there's not much that beats a page turning book!
Gorgeous trees with the sun washing them in beautiful gold light! Great captures. Enjoy your weekend!
I am loving YOUR fall photos....we don't have much of fall down here. Just goes from green to brown to bare!
Very nice pictures, all of them and my favorite is the one of the leaf on the fence. You've got quite a good eye for photos too. : )
I also really like the pretty quilt background of your blog. Light, bright and happy looking.
Hey your photo is pretty with the golden leaves - I see a lot of my friends here.sandie
Love your fall fotos. ;o)
The aqua fence caught my attention before the leaf. I know sad. LOL
Have an awesome day!
