Regarding the magazine...I saw it as I was checking out at the store this past week, and I passed up on buying it.
And...yes, I'd want to know about the house. Houses should be like cars...House Facts. :)
It's the law here that such things must be told. I would think twice before buying such a home, though I know that living for 15 years in a home that had been built around 1840 that it probably saw a lot of things. And I was told that a former owner had passed (not in violence) in this home, which did not bother me at all. She was a dear woman and I always liked her.

We got some of that lovely snow overnight. It has cleaned up the place quite nicely.
in Florida we have a disclosure law, i sold RE back in the 90's and we were required to disclose things like this. i guess each state has it's own disclosure laws. I saw Paula Dean on a talk show last week, and she has slimmed down, but now looks 10 years older. i am waiting to see if she gets plastic surgery...she said she is not eating diet foods, just very small portions. she said he used to think small portion was 1 biscuit instead of 3...
I personally would want to know...but maybe that's just because I've seen too many ghost movies!!

I love Paula Deen!!! Good for her in getting fit! I have never heard BJ's voice but I like to think she sounds like Paula Deen! When I read her posts and comments it is a Paula Deen accent!! I sound like a hillbilly! Do you ever think of some one you sound like?

I'm glad for Paula. Seems she lost the weight in a short amount of time. It might be hard to keep off when you're used to cooking a lot. Hope she can. Have you ever seen her without all that makeup and fluffy hair? Somewhere I saw a photo. LOL! Oh my...not so pretty. She is lovely when all fixed up, tho.
About the house...yes, I think the buyers should have been told. That would certainly put a damper on MY buying a house with that history!!

I had no idea the Deen's lost so much weight. They look good.
You bet I'd wanna know. Now if someone just died I'd still wanna know and would buy the house if I really liked it, but if some horrible tragedy happened like this murder-suicide, well I wouldn't be buying it. I'm not into ghosts, but the thought of someone passing peacefully from natural causes is alot different than a tragic violent crime.
Now, then, that's out of the way (interesting question, tho) I just wanted to say hi! THat soup looks pretty good to me. And Paula Deen looks great and I'll bet she'll be healthier, too! Wonder if she'll start pushing diet foods or just smaller portions?

I am in a difference of opinion about the house than most. It wouldn't make any difference to me and I don't think it is something that NEEDS to be told before selling.

I would want to know before I bought a house if there had been a murder in it...but I would not need to know because of death from sickness or natural causes.

I would want to know....I guess one needs to ask...has any one died or been murdered here. I give credit to anyone who can lose weight successfully. It is not easy.
I would want to know about the house history, before I made a decision about buying.
