On Friday, "Uncle A." did a bunch of cooking. He put a Crock Pot Short Ribs Dinner on to simmer. Then he put a Meatloaf together. We had some of the Meatloaf for dinner, Fri. night. Naturally, the Meatloaf makes more than one dinner, and can be frozen. The Crock Pot Short Ribs will be for Sat. dinner. And it will provide another meal, later. Plus, anything like a Crock Pot meal, tastes even better the next day. Having been cooked, and then spent the night, in the refrigerator, it gets even more yummy. Win/Win/Win/Win!

Finished reading "The Last Dragonslayer" last night. (And yes my Dears, it's another kid's book.) -grin- It was a fun read, but NOT one of those books, which I *hate* to have end. The last book I read, was "The Power Of Now," so I went from DEEP, to Light. Kind of a good mix.
And btw, "The Last Dragonslayer" may well be a kid's book. But it's quite interesting, how many political viewpoints are shown, via satire. Just like all those old Nursery Rhymes... Whose basis may have been deep, dark political facts, of the time... (Like "Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary"for instance)...
"Soup is sensitive. You don't catch steak
hanging around when you're poor and sick,
do you?" ~Judith Martin
Btw, I am trying to learn how to make my post layouts, a bit more interesting. I actually made the pic of "Mary, Mary, Quite..." show up, on the RIGHT side of my words, up above. This is easy to do, for so many of you Dear Readers. But to me, it is a blogging FIRST! -chuckle-

Last night, was the final "Fringe" program. I used to be addicted to it. He still is. But I've become unable to watch all the dystopian horrors, it's been dwelling on. Actually, I can't read dystopian literature either. My "Grand" and I, we who love a lot of the same books, don't agree on dystopian. She loves it. I hate it. :-)
♥
How about you Dear Reader? Do you enjoy dystopian fiction?
♥
Were you a "Fringe" fan?
Were you satisfied with the finale?
Btw, I could watch 'Peter' (Joshua Jackson, above) just "sit and read the phone book," as the saying goes. He is quite delicious. Yummmmmm... I'm sure we'll see more of him, in the future.

I enoyed Fringe all the way through, have yet to watch last night's though but it is ready to go. Sounds like an interesting book as well and the quote is swell, but I'll still take a steak haha
I had to come straight down to the comments section once you began writing about Fringe, as I haven't seen the finale yet :) I am really excited to watch it though!!
I am also considering changing my blog layout as well, since I've had the same one for almost the entire time I've been blogging!
I am afraid that our tastes in reading are quite different, though we do share an enthusiasm for some nonfiction. Wish that John would whip up some meatloaf! It sounds so good...
I did watch every episode of Fringe, I always enjoy coming here, you have such an interesting blog, a bit of everything, enjoy that meat loaf , I need to make meat loaf, see you inspired me, lol, beautiful photos as always
I don't even know what Fringe is - but there sounds like some good eating going on too.
Have a good weekend.
Never heard of Fringe, so I can't comment on that...
However, I do love a crockpot meal and agree with you that it is better the second day.
Hugs,
Jackie
oh yum...and there is nothing like a good meatloaf sandwich! on homemade bread with lots of mayo!
I have never watched Fringe.....so I don't know anything about it!
I may try to put words beside a picture tonight. I did that once....
I'm not a Fringe fan. Watched the first few episodes but just couldn't get into it.
I had to check out your link for what dystopian is and no doesn't sound like I would like it.
I take reading by spells but love Gothic love stories...:))
No valentine decorations around here..never have decorated for that holiday...not sure why, tho.
Hope you have a good weekend...
Yeah Uncle A for cooking...
I was a Fringe fan the first couple of years. Then when all the doppleganger characters appeared in other worlds I completely lost intrest. Why do TV take a perfectly good plot line and then ruin it by making the story line rediculously confusing with layers of flashbacks and good/evil versions of characters to the point that it is a waste of time watching? They did the same thing with Lost. Just my opinion.
I agree with you about Joshua Jackson. I think he is very talented, but I just like to watch him like a 15 year old with a bad crush. Maybe that makes me one of those Cougars (at least mentally).
Congradulations on now being able to post pics in the right margin.
I like that you decorate for Valentines....I have lost my zest for decorating....living in an apartment and not having the younger grands nearby is more than likely the reason. Meat loaf sounds good....I might add it to next weeks menu...living with a heart patient makes cooking boring. I have not heard of Fringe...but it is fun to have a show to follow.
