Finally, moving along...! ,-)

Today's post begins with *Artful Studies* Of a Wine Glass.  Port, actually.  -grinnnnn-

I poured a glass of Port last night, and thought!!!!!  Photo Op!!!     ,-)

Yes, I'm done now.    ,-)

Yesterday we did have snow....

Some nice BIG flakes, which I was actually able to *capture*!!!   But it turned to rain, and it's a wonder there is any snow left.  There is, and it's just soggy snow and gray-wet-looking out.

-chuckle-  What would we bloggers in Blog Land do, without our Local Weather Reports, hu?

On Wednesday, we finally got the old couch, out of our Den.  We've had it for a long time, but it is still in fine condition.  So our son (on the right) got his friend (on the left) to help him bring it over next door.  It's now down in the kid's play room, down cellar.  And will give lots more years of wear.

"Uncle A's" recliner in the Hearth Room, which he uses every evening, is no longer comfortable.  Sun. we FINALLY went and ordered a new one.  His old recliner will move into the Den, but the couch had to go first.

My Dear Readers know that our family does not seem to do-things-quickly.  lol.  So all this, has been in the "we-are-gonna'-do-it-stage", for months.  Finally!  It's commencing!  ,-)

I finished "Einstein's Dreams," and you can read more about it,  on my book blog,
by clicking on this click-able link.

Please may I ask...?  Have you Dear Reader, gone to my book blog ("Auntie's Reads 2013"), and checked on any book(s)?

I have No Comments Setting there.  To make it easier, on everyone.  But the Site Meter shows that some people are Visiting.

They could be people, who usually read here.  Or they could be people who just found it, by searching for books/reviews.

So, I ask...   Please and Thank you...

Auntie...I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your header photo and the wine and snow photos...so pretty!!!

Don't you just love it when you can recycle old but "still in good shape" furniture!

I do visit your "book blog" and I know how you feel. I always wonder if anyone is really interested in visiting mine, too. But I also know for a fact that some of the books that I've posted have interested some of the those who have stopped by. I will continue posting and I hope that you will, too!!!

Great Big Hugs,
Jan

Yes, I visit whenever you discuss a new book. This one sounds very intriguing.

Yay for getting those gears grinding and accomplishing so much and yay for the good sense to know how important good seating is...we mist do better here.

Love the mantel and the lovely picture upon it. I remember seeing it before but had forgotten that she is Uncle's grandmother.

Hello Auntie - went and visited the blog you spoke of - very nice! Loved her new sideboard, but mostly loved her photographs and her "way" of writing. Think I'll go back and visit her some more - thanks for the tip!

I think I like the second pic of the wine - you can really see the facets of the goblet - looks like it would "tinkle" if tapped with a fork!

SO good to be able to buy a well-built piece of furniture and have it last and last and last!

I got snow this weekend, too! But in Denver! Think I'll just stay in Texas...

Your wine looked lovely! I had not visited your book blog before today. I don't get around as much as I used to!

It's cold here in south Texas today. I have not seen one flake of snow this year! It has snowed twice at home but I wasn't there to see it!
Love looking at YOUR snow pics!

I love it when it snows those great big flakes. Oh so pretty.
We usually do things pretty quickly here at my house!
No, I haven't been to your book blog but only because my lists of books to read grows ever so longer. Every book you mention I want to read!!

Hello Sweet Auntie

Love your new header! That lamp and photo are right up my alley!

I've been over at the book blog, but haven't commented.

Glad to see you enjoy a nice glass of wine. Ahhh

Your mantel has a wondeful Victorian flair with the striking photo of Uncle A's Grandmother. I love how a personal photo can add warmth to a room.
The glass of port looks lovely in the light reflecting off the glass capturing the beautiful color of the wine. Even the port goes well with your decorating scheme. I keep forgetting to mention how much I like your backsplash tiles with the fruit - very timeless & pretty as well as a great contrast to the contemporary granite.
I know you really wanted to figure out how to capture the flakes of falling snow, so congrads. on accomplishing that photographic skill. I can see every flake now.
Hurray for completing a home project with furniture removal & purchasing new. IT IS DONE & off the to do list!!
It is good to get blog friends weather report. It reminds us how diverse the enviroment is.
I have looked at your reading list a few times and wrote a couple of titles down for my next trip to the library.

Good morning, Auntie...I am up early; it's 4:31 A.M. here in West Texas. After taking meds and having a shot at the doctor's office yesterday, I was asleep by 9:30 last night (REALLY early for me) so by 4 this morning, I am wide awake. Will have a good nap later. :)
Your photos are wonderful..love the grandmother photo, too.
Have a good, relaxed day.
