Perk up! Perk up! Perk up! :-) (And New Addition)

Do the hands look out of proportion, to you?  They look smaller than they *should* be, to me.  The painter (Isaac Snowman) lived from 1874 - 1947.  My thought is, that small hands were a much-prized beauty effect, on a woman, during his lifetime.   Maybe...  ?  :-)

I'm reading "Vampires in the Lemon Grove" by Karen Russell.  A collection of short stories, which are kinda' wild and crazy and unique and interesting and....   :-)  Have 7 read, just 1 more to finish.   Then I will post about it, on my book blog...  ("Auntie's Reads 2013")

With only snow-snow-snow photos presenting themselves here...  I think it's time to seek a better mood.  "Time To Get My Bunny On" or something.  -grin-  And where can we usually go, to get an upbeat post?  Why to S.B., of course!

See if you can keep a smile, from creeping onto your face, when you click right here.....  Please and thank you.

New Addition...

BLOGGER  WATCH

"BLOGGER STOLE OUR SLIDESHOW VIEWER... IT IS GONE GONE GONE... WAHHHH. YOU KNOW WHEN YOU CLICK TO ENLARGE AND THERE IS A SLIDE SHOW? GONE GONE GONE..WAHHHH"

Found on Sandra's blog.  Click here please...

Thank you Sandra, for the 'head's up'

I noticed this, but didn't have a Name for it.  She does.  Have you noticed this?

I do notice that the hands to look a tad small - wonder if the artist misrepresented them? Small hands likely were seen as a sign of femininity during that time period. I never even realized Blogger had a slideshow function - I suppose I need to educate myself on Bloggder more :)

Yeah small they are, seems google is really screwing with everything and a bunny beats snow any time.

hmmm, the hands don't seem that small to me...
love that little bunny.
I haven't figured out WHY Google is doing the SLICE act. Just slicing everything off and not a lot left.
They must have their reasons but.......

Yes, I had noticed it was gone.
The hands seemed fine to me but then I have small hands.

Yes, the hands do look small to me, but the painting and the lady who posed for it is beautiful.

To me the hands are the correct size...just my opinion :)

Yes, I did notice that we no longer have the gallery photos with the black background. It does make it a bit more work to view more than one photo in a single posting

Auntie, you always find such interesting books and I love it!!!

Hugs,
Jan

I'm thinking the hands look a bit small, too.

What will happen next in blogville? I'm still grumbling about sitemeter. I've emailed them twice about my problem, but nothing has been done. Grrrr. I'm already cranky enough over the cold weather and snow on the way this weekend. Where is spring? The calendar says it's spring!

Have a nice weekend.

That bunny did bring a smile to my face. In fact, I've seen some bunny tracks on my morning walks. I'm just about to post some pics of our finished solar system.

That little bunny of yours brought a smile to my face. He's adorable. I didn't know that the viewer was gone, but I never used it so guess it would have taken me awhile to figure it out. I'm sure that it's exasperating for those who did use it.

Yes, Susan's cake is adorable. Reminds me of some shaped cakes my mother used to bake for my sister and me.

I was having a good look at that picture - I'm not sure if the hands or out of proportion - with the head that is - so much as the body seems out of proportion with the heads or hands - or maybe I'm just being odd!

The hands did look small, but when I (scientifically) measured them with my thumb and forefinger and put that to her face as if she was cradling her head, it seemed about right. He posture is slouchy which makes her clothes look all bunched up. Not the greatest pose for a lovely lady.

I knew something was missing...:( I need to get my bunny on too LOL

I actually think the hands look too large! Strange how we all see things differently! I have been painting hands all afternoon - in two Santa pics - so maybe I need a break! Which is why I am HERE visiting YOU!

Interesting observations, as always, Auntie. It makes reading the comments fun!
