So far, so good... :-)

Well, it seems as if most of us, are still OK...  With our ways, of seeing new posts, on the blogs we love.

My new lace kitchen curtains.  I've had them quite a while, and finally got them up.  I am soooo slowwww...

The little Moss Roses, beside the patio door, continue to thrive and  blossom.

New boyfriend was over...

Not a good pic, but he is cute.

"A" and "E"...  :-)

Don't say it...   I have no *shame*!   -grin-  Taking pics behind the curtain and etc.  -giggggles-  Awww come on, that's what "Nana's" doooooooooo.  :-)

July 1st.... All we all, still here...?????????

First of all, I have my Dear Readers, on "Bloglovin."  But hope that my private "My Little Posse" blog, will still work, for me.

We will know, at the stroke of midnight!  -gigggles-  Geee, that should sound like fun.  But it doesn't, in this instance.  -pout-

In looking for an illustration, for "The Stroke Of Midnight," I came across some delightful blogs.  Mostly devoted to reading.  :-)  Which was VERY delightful for me.  I'm always looking for more suggestions, for books to read.  :-)

It's almost overwhelming, how many lovely blogs there are "out there."  And all of us, are pressed for time, in one way or the other.  -sigh-  So many Book Blogs...  So little Real Reading Time, to find them all, and follow them.  -repeat sigh-

HAPPY JULY!
Hope we all, are *still here*...

NEVER thought I'd have a "foodie" blog!!!

♥

'Uncle A.'s' Healthy Dinner on Mon. night.  The shrimp is obvious.  I love cold shrimp with a dip made of ketchup and horseradish sauce.

And this, is mine.   For the salad we had 3 different kinds of greens...  An organic Mac Apple from Vt., which is just across the state line...  Walnuts...  My Goat Cheddar Cheese...  And for him, his regular cheese.

On the salads, we used the above.  Much *better* than my usual wish for creamy salad dressing.  And amazingly, DELICIOUS!!!

And this was my Healthy Lunch on Tues.  A can of Wolfgand Puck's Vegetable Soup.  Another salad.  Again, 3 greens, apple, honey-roasted peanuts today, no cheese....  But Newman's Raspberry Walnut dressing.  (Did I say I LOVE this dressing?????  -grin-)

'Uncle A.'....   Preparing to make bread...

Btw, I am seeing more, about people having Blogger problems...

I tell ya', I'm glad I have my Word Press blog ("Auntie sezzzzzz..." name too) up and running.   At present, I'm just putting this and that, there.  Basically LEARNING about Word Press blogging.    I'm not techy, and I am kinda' slow with such stuff, so it's good for me to take time with the 'learning.'

But still, even if they pulled-the-plug on Blogger tomorrow, I have my blog set up, and going, and waiting for me.

"Wondering"... "Did you see...?"

♥

Did you ever hear of a "Happy Gene"?  :-)  Neither had I.  Until a discussion about SAD and etc.  Someone said that she was very upset, after 9/11,  and her doctor gave her some temporary medication.  It helped her.  She got her "Happy Gene" back.  And discontinued the medication.

 (RED socks)

Getting back to the way, in which this time of year  (lingering of Winter),  can really mess-with a lot of people's equilibriums...  I wonder why?  Not the "Little Why's" of...  Needing to see green things growing, or being tired of feeling cold, or wanting to run out the door, without a heavy coat on, or craving the colors of flowers...  And not even the very real aspect of SAD...  I wonder why, in a basic sense, some of us get sooooo tirrrrrrred of lingering Winter?

 (Learning the scales...)

Wayyyyyyyyyyyy back, I'm sure our ancestors had a very real fear of running out of food, at this time of year.  It being too cold to plant yet, and preserved stocks of food, running low.    THAT was a real fear, and could have really upset/worried them.

 ("Make-believe-room", behind the curtain...)

But we don't live, like that.  If we are in Pretty Blog Land, we know we will eat tomorrow.  What doesn't grow yet locally, we buy in the grocery store.  Our homes have heat.  Our vehicles get us from here to there, easily.  Snow doesn't make us house-bound.  Plus, even when we do stay in our homes, we have access to the whole world, via the Net, tv, and etc.  We can "see" the whole world, from our snug home.  But maybe, that's part of "It"?

(Gabe's form of 'Jingle Bells," softly...)

Today, we can't forget, that in some places, flowers are blooming.  We see up-close-and-personal photos/film of loads of blooming flowers and green grass/trees/shrubs, as far as the eye can see.  Somewhere.

If we couldn't seeeeeee all that beauty, would we crave it?  So would our lack of this craving, help us to not be so upset/unhappy with a lingering Winter?

-chuckle-  Running low on blogging ideas.  Could you tell????  -grin-

Did you happen to visit "BJ" while her blog was switched to a whole different blog look???  It's back to looking like it always does, now.  But yesterday, it was totally weird.  What happened?  If it happened to her, could it happen to us?  Could our blog, all of a sudden, be somehow *changed*?  Eeeeeeeek.  What next, to worry about?????????????

Perk up! Perk up! Perk up! :-) (And New Addition)

♥

Do the hands look out of proportion, to you?  They look smaller than they *should* be, to me.  The painter (Isaac Snowman) lived from 1874 - 1947.  My thought is, that small hands were a much-prized beauty effect, on a woman, during his lifetime.   Maybe...  ?  :-)

I'm reading "Vampires in the Lemon Grove" by Karen Russell.  A collection of short stories, which are kinda' wild and crazy and unique and interesting and....   :-)  Have 7 read, just 1 more to finish.   Then I will post about it, on my book blog...  ("Auntie's Reads 2013")

With only snow-snow-snow photos presenting themselves here...  I think it's time to seek a better mood.  "Time To Get My Bunny On" or something.  -grin-  And where can we usually go, to get an upbeat post?  Why to S.B., of course!

See if you can keep a smile, from creeping onto your face, when you click right here.....  Please and thank you.

"5 Products That Should Fear Google's Next Killing Spree"

"Google CEO Larry Page is in a pruning mood.  In a "spring cleaning" last week, Google killed five products, most prominently Google Reader, and began phasing out... "

You do remember this, I'm sure.

"If Google sees a beloved, impactful, but less-than-blockbuster product like Reader as something to prune then there's plenty more brush to clear.  Here are five obvious candidates.  I'd hate to see some of these products go, but they seem at risk given Google's current priorities:"

One of the 5 being....

"Blogger: When created by Evan Williams in 1999, seven years before Williams co-founded Twitter, Blogger was bar none the easiest way to create and maintain a blog. But the world has moved on. Rival network Tumblr has social features that vastly outmatch Blogger’s, while WordPress is much easier to customize and has a robust development and design community supporting it. As with Google Groups, the only reason Google may want to keep Blogger around is to preserve the old content and avoid a PR backlash. But Google could easily put a freeze on new blogs and posts."

Just (for learning) for now, anyway...
