This and that and this, too... :-))))

Imagination...

Concentration...

The curls are fading....   But the static electricity is as strong as ever.   ,-)

I love this illustration...   Of course I do.   It speaks to love of reading books.  And my Dear Readers know that I love to read books.

But.........

The surrounding is a beautiful Spring day.  Flowers are in bloom.  I'm sure the birds are singing.  She is walking by a lovely old fashioned fence.  The kitty is trying to get her attention.  And.........

She has her nose stuck in a book!  Seemingly not noticing any of the beauty, which surrounds her.

Hmmmmmmmmmm, does that have a subtle, but important message?  That of making sure, that we don't become so lost in the world of books, that we fail to see the beauty, of our own life, all around us?  Maybe?  Perhaps?  Possibly?
~~~~~~~~
And after that little bit of musing..........   I go right ahead, to tell you of a delightful book, I just finished!!!  ,-)   Take from that, what you will.   :-)
"Tea With The Black Dragon"
I loved this little book!!!
I think my hair looks like that some mornings :)
And yes I do think there is a message in that picture - that as wonderful as it is to get lost in a story, we cannot become so engrossed that we miss the stories around us.
We enjoy watching The Middle where the youngest son always has his nose in a book to the point that his alarmed parents took him on a trip to see the very thing he was reading about. He looked up and noticed the lake or the mountain or whatever it was and then said, "Look, it's right here in my book." I think I am in danger of that!
Gabe is soooo cute even if the curls are fading and the static is high.
Auntie...how I adore those photos of Gabe, especially the "static hair"...just to precious!!!
That "nose in the book" book is so beautiful. I will have to look for that one for my personal library :)
(Note: I deleted my book blog. It will make it easier for me to post books on my one and only blog.)
Stop-by my blog if you get a chance today. My hubby took panoramic photos of our new snow and one of our living/dining room!!!
I remember with my youngest, we'd take the hat off and his hair would be crackling and standing up straight. Matter of fact, mine as well, but that's before all the years of coloring.
Ha ha! My hubby used to tell me...before computers...that I always had my nose stuck in a book! In a nice way, of course. Love that book cover!
Gabe is just adorable. Neat static-in-the-hair shot! Mine looks like that sometimes, too. LOL!
Where did Gabes curles go? He had them just the other day. Maybe they are in the same place where your druthers go when you can't find them Auntie.
I was wondering, did you paint those splattery polka dots that appear before the tile header? They make me think of jelly beans. I so love the licorice ones best. It's OK I am usually in the minority on that one.
The static electricity is so strong that when I was taking towels out of the dryer this AM, that a wash cloth literrally flew several feet out of the dryer and grabbed onto my leg. This household cosmic event made me realize that I have not gotten one of those static electricity shocks this Winter. Not that I miss getting zapped for a painful split second, I just thought it odd that not a single one has happened all Winter. Perfectly useless pondering, if only for a minute.
I think the lady with her nose in the books may be oblivious to her environment at the moment, but when Spring first arrived and a novelty, she took her nose out of the book to marvel at the wonder of it all. Just my guess.
Your photos are simply amazing! I felt as if I could reach out and brush the denim of Gabe's jeans. And I could almost feel the electricity in his hair!!
You are BACK!!!
