Well, that was interesting... We live across the street from a college campus. Last night, the campus was put on lock-down, and police checked all, coming or going... Looking for an off-campus person, who had allegedly threatened a student.
Our daughter lives up on the corner, near a walking entrance, to the campus. Police cars all over the place. She called our son, who lives between her house and our house. He called here, to tell me to put the SCANNER on. We called others in the neighborhood, and we put our outside lights on. We figured, if someone was sneaking around here, they'd move on, because of our little well-lit neighborhood area. -chuckle-
Campus lock-down called off during the night, but security still in place. Now authorities don't even know if the possible "bad guy," is even in the area. He's from out of state, and may be headed for NJ.
Interesting. Not fun.
Now we quietly wait for "Uncle A.'s" new chair to be delivered. :-)

UPDATE:
10:00AM
This person has been apprehended. And the campus has returned to normal operations.

scary! glad things are quiet now! we got snow!!!
i did not realize your son and daughter lived that close. i think that would be great... hope the guy doesn't show up, very very interesting and a little scarey
Thank goodness the threat passed Auntie.
That kind of Excitement in the neighborhood is never fun. Glad that the danger is past and what a splendid idea of putting on all the lights.
The new chair is a much more fun excitement!
My goodness! That kind of excitement is not for me, either. Putting on outside lights is a good idea. Hope they catch the guy! Then everyone can relax.
Enjoy that new chair!
Not the kind of news you want to hear, hopefully the nut is long gone.
My goodness...excitement, to say the least. Glad all is settled now.
Nice having your son and daughter so close.
Kind of scary to have happened so close. Glad all has been settled and they found the guy.

Wow Auntie! SO many crazy things going on these days!!
Glad they caught him!

GOOD NEWs
Scary...but we have to take those threats seriously. I love the tiles on your header photo. My mother had a scanner, and would drive us kids nuts calling us about warnings. Bless her heart. Stay save Auntie. xoxo,Susie
That was scarey for all of you, Auntie. It was very smart for all of you to turn on outside lights and make it brighter in the area!
I'm so happy that no one was hurt.
Big Hugs~~~

that is scarey...so glad everything turned out okay...
Glad that things are back to normal after the excitement!
OMG that just give me the shivers reading that! It's like something out of a horror movie - especially being on campus - Scream, Halloween. Okay, I'll stop now.
A bit too close for comfort!
Take care.
Lynn :D
Just now I heard in the news that the hit and run guy is under arrest. Three lives, my God. I was hoping that he baby would live. This was very Sad.
I am glad that the search ended on a good note in your neighborhood.
I don't know about you but I get an adrenalin rush that keeps me awake when stuff like this happens. LOL It is great that your kids are close by and that the neighbors watch out for each other.
Yay!!!! Glad all is well in the neighborhood now!
Glad the drama is over and the perp has been apprehended.
Wow that's a little un-nerving I'm sure. Glad you and the family were out of harms way.
