The Full Flower Moon
Saturday, May 25th
"When the Full Flower Moon shines, it is time for my unicorn to come down from the old apple orchard to the pond. He crops the wild violets as he steps delicately toward the cool, sweet water. Moonlight silvers his hoofs and horn. He comes only in May, and I am the only one who has seen him, although Anne spends many evenings watching for him, and I believe one day she too will become his friend."

I will have to remember that the 25th we have a full moon. I live near Detroit and it can bring the crazy's out. Not kidding. :(
That pointy horn could harm any a moon haha
Sounds as if Gladys was a fan of Elizabeth Goudge's or vice versa. Wouldn't it be magical to see a unicorn in May or any time?
Love all things 'Gladys Taber'......
What a lovely image and quote! I must read some more Gladys Taber books ... it's been years since the last one.
Thank you, Auntie.
P.S. Don't the Full Moons have some wonderful names?
That's beautiful. So much better that werewolves...
