Silly frogs get into the pool. "Uncle A." has to rescue them.
The pool is still filling up with water. When water level reaches the spout holes (???), he can turn the pump on, and the skimmer will start working. The water will circulate. He can add chlorine and etc.
You never completely drain a Gunnite Pool. It's a form of cement and... You leave some water in it, all winter. Due to a small cover mishap this year, the water level was way down this spring. I took a pic, just because it's unique.
No only am I enjoying baking Paleo, for myself, I'm baking regular Muffins for "Uncle A." too. I found a basic muffin recipe, which one can change by additions. Added organic blueberries. Think next time, I'll add less blueberries!!! -grin- And put a dollop of Lemon Curd into each muffin. So there is a *surprise,* when he bites into them.
Gals like my Dear Friend Joyce, at Octoberfarm blog, love to cook/bake. Joyce, I am actually learning to love baking too!!!!!! It is like a Brand New Thing, to me. The enjoyment of it, I mean. I've baked all my married life. But now... But now... But now... It is fun!!!!!!!!!
Lunch. To be juiced. We only Juice one meal a day. In that meal, we consume so many more fruits and veggies, than we'd ever eat regularly.
Perhaps that's just us. Perhaps you eat all the recommended fruits/veggies a day. We don't. Now we do.
Plus we chew, at breakfast and dinner. Often having a salad, with dinner.
-sigh- We intended to bring home lots of pink Wave Petunias, with some purple. But when they came out, they all look mostly purple. -pout- So, we got some very PINK ones, for sure, to add. Still have to plant them...
Dear Granddaughter Emma, whose pic I used the other day... Out the window pic... Cause I still don't like to show face pics, of "Grands" in school. Well last evening we went next door, to CONGRATULATE Emma (finishing 9th grade) and Jake (finishing 7th grade) for winning School Work Awards!
They both got Awards, and Jake got 6 Top Subjects! Whooo-hooo..
Emma had some news for us. :-) She has a new boyfriend. (Yes, I asked her if I could put this in my blog, and she gave me permission, to do so.) He goes to a different school. But they attend the same Church and are in the Church Youth Group. Naturally her parents and his parents, know each other. We look forward to meeting him, this summer.
Yes, I am a "goosey-goosey," to get so excited about this. But it's part of growing up, part of kid's growing up, and a nice part. Especially when two nice kids can spend time together.
Thank you Emma, for letting me post this. :-)))))))))) You know your 'Nana' loves-you-to-pieces.

you are blessed with darling grands for sure... i love the fence shot, the fence itself is just beautiful in that photo. and we do the same thing here with frogs and lizards, i pick up the little frogs, bob is in charge of big frogs and big lizards. if he is not here i use the net on the big ones. we save one or two daily.
glad you explained about the pool. i thought wow that is low water for a pool...
It must please your granddaughter that you are interested in her life. Hope that you get to meet the new lad one day soon.
Oh Auntie, now you've given me a frightful thought...to bake blueberry muffins with a lemon curd center...what a clever girl you are! First, though, did Uncle like them?
O so glad you share her life...my grands are all close by and it is such a blessing for us to be able to go to their awards, concerts, plays...meeting their new beaus and girls...:)
O DEAR...lemon curd in the middle of a muffin...HOW DELIGHTFUL :))
when I saw "frog rescue" come up on my side bar alerting me to your new post it sure grabbed my attention, now thats not something one hears everyday, lol, what a lovely pool, wow, beautiful.
It is nice to bake for enjoyment and not as a chore and Joyce is truly one of the best cooks I know, her recipes are fool proof, I know this because sometimes I AM THE FOOL!!!! ha ha, lovely grand children news, you're a good Nana.
That salad looks yummy. I've been focusing more on salads as well. Looking forward to retirement which will give me time to work on my baking skills. Actually, I used to be a great baker, but had to put it aside when work became so overwhelming.
Mary
I was going to sit longer and read more blogs, but after seeing your muffins and salad...gotta go! It looks delicious and it's lunch time for me.
Love your header picture, and the tidbits about the happenings at your home.
Congrats to the grands for doing so well in school!
i have never had a frog in my pool. i don't think we have city frogs here. i am glad you are enjoying baking. i am about to make a couple huge desserts for the shelter for the weekend. i just have to figure out what i want to make. awww...a new boyfriend. those were the days!
Cleaning out the pool can be a pain in the arse.
I'm glad the frog was rescued. : )
Those muffins make my mouth water. I've always enjoyed baking but not cooking so much.
All your food pictures look so good!!!!
Nice that your granddaughter has a new boyfriend and I think nice that they met at church. : )
I didn't always eat the recommended amount of veggies and fruits but now I do too!!
We definitely consume more than the recommended amounts of fresh fruits and veggies.
Raise them right and they will know how to make the right choices. I know your Emma must be a darling girl,
Thanks for all your sweet comments about our kids and the wedding.
Just took roast pork out of the oven, put a double batch of brownies into the oven and finished up a double batch of pasta salad for the "movers" (all the kids friends) tomorrow.
xo
Good for you in staying so involved wit h your grands! You KNOW how involved I am with the quads and with Summer's little girl....my other three - not so much. Not sure WHY!! They are so busy and I never know in advance about their special activities so I seldom play a part in their lives. MiMi Camp is one thing I do that they seem to like. You are blessed to be so close - in area and in HEART!!
