Pretty weekend... But hot, hot, hot this week beginning...

He wanted the taste, of grilling over REAL old charcoal...  So he got this itty-tibby-charcoal-BBQ.  Isn't it the cutest thing?!?  :-)
~~~
Daughter and Gabe, squinting in the Sat. afternoon sun.  She is nearly 54, btw.
~~~
Took this picture, through the blinds, window and screen.  :-)
~~~
Another pic of "BK," for Sandra...  Who loves pics of critters.  :-)
See how she ("BK") is looking right at me?  I go out, and tell her, that I'm taking a picture of her, for my friend in FL.  :-)........  Looks like she's posing, doesn't it?
~~~
His small yellow and blush 'Old Roses'....
~~~
Another pic of the little-bitty BBQ.  Just enough room for 2 free-range Hamburgers.  :-)
~~~
Back-lit, by late afternoon sun...
~~~
Gorgeous Peonies...
~~~
I like to get pics of these flowers, while they are lovely.  Then, make sure to 'dead-head' them, when they are past prime.  In bloom-Peonies look so pretty.  But past-prime Peonies do not look lovely at all.  Sad but true....  :-)

But!  The flowers on the left of this picture...  I think they are so pretty, past-prime.  So delicate and almost lacy looking.  :-)  I don't dead-head them!!!

Tiki Torches...!!! ,-) Etc. Etc. Etc.

ATTENTION CLASS:

My Click-able Links will now be in

THIS COLOR...

Please and Thank You.

(Sun., still working on Work Bench...)

Today/Tues. is my day, to go to the Allergist.  The doctor's pamphlet says, that on the first visit, there will be Pulmonary Testing and Skin Testing.

(Middle Grand-Son and Dad...)

This (allergy testing) is totally new to me.  I did not grow up with allergies.  Developed them, as I am getting older.

(As far as they got, on Sun.  It's in Son's garage, but pegboard still to be gotten, when it's not raining...)

Finally have to admit to myself, that I have Allergies.  -pout-  Do any Dear Readers, have experience with being tested for Allergies??????

Son next door, put Tiki Torches up, on Sat.  But forgot lighter fluid.  Which we went out and got, Sun. morning.  Then came the Sun. rains.....

But after 7pm, it was still cloudy but no rain...  So they lit them.  And we came over to experience the First Tiki Torch Lighting Experience.  -grin-

Guess my Son was still chewing on something, when he came out...  -grin-

You can see 2 of their lovely gardens.  One more, is to the right, out of the line of this picture.

Oh and, "Uncle A." didn't get bit, last evening, but I did.  While out there, in the humid evening.  A nasty bite, on a finger.  It hurt and was itchy and I had to keep putting Anti-Itch-Bite Cream on it.  -pout-  Why me?????   Why do all flying, biting insects zero in on ME????

And this is just a bird-in-flight, to the left...  And sunlight on a plane, way up in the sky.

Happy Monday...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"BK" next door...  Up close and personal...

"BK" and "Lucky" on their porch...

'Wild' Queen Ann's Lace and cultivated Peonies...

My view, thru the windshield, while "Uncle A." was getting gas...  A "Because I Can" shot, if there ever was one!  -grin-

Big frog, with his butt to the camera, this time.  ,-)

Installing the Tiki Torches, on Sat.  Got torches, didn't get lighter fluid.  So no "lights" on lovely Sat. night.

Showing how I've gone VERY  BRIGHT, in clothing this summer!  It's just a cotton dress, but it really "makes a statement."  lol...

Showing what's left, of the beautiful "Joseph's Coat Of Many Colors" Old Rose, this year.  -sighhhh-  Just a wee bit of green, at the bottom of dead-looking stalks.  -repeat sigh-  We love, love, love this Old Rose.  Don't know what happened to it, this Winter.  -sigh-

 But our Pink Spirea bush is coming beautifully, in back yard.  And even going through the fence, to show pretty flowers, in son's yard.

 More wild flowers, in the front garden...  Prettttty....

Saturday~~~Saturday~~~Saturday

"Pop" and "Gabe," finishing the day (Sat.) by checking out the Old Roses...

Little after mid-day...  Beautiful "Grand"...  Ready to go to new boyfriend's brother's Graduation Party.

Sat. afternoon...  "Grand's" father...  In his FAVORITE  JEANS.  Eeeeek!  Do men in your family, have such totally-gone-but-dearly-loved-clothes???

Sat. afternoon project...  Making workbench for son's garage, next door.

Getting the wood, in old Truck, came first.  Taking middle Grandson along.  Also having lunch at a road-side stand, where lady sells the BEST  HOT  DOGS.

Nope, not Healthy Eating.  But, it's part of summer...
:-)

 The big tools, are in "Dad's" garage work shop.

See the old sign, to the top left of pic?  That was from one summer, when 2 oldest Granddaughter's were running "The Compound Swimming Day Care."  Complete with RULES!  ,-)

Lots of boards, cut to certain size...

More cutting..........

Checking the plans, on 'Dad's' laptop, which they brought out into the work shop.  Grrrrreat idea!

This is what it's supposed to look like, when complete.  That part, they plan on doing this afternoon.

"Who wants to feed that to your kids?"~~~plus other stuff

Wondering if you can *see* my New Hair Style?  :-)  I never can get a pic, to show what I see in the mirror, but.  Anyway, I had Patricia cut it very short, on the right side.  And I've been letting, from the (right side) part, to the ends,  grow for a while.  Since it was layered very short, for the "Judi Dench" look, it's taking a long time to sort-of-grow-out.  But by now, with 1 side cut short and the left side growing, it actually looks like a *new* hair style.  :-)

And all I do is blow dry with a big, round brush.  The left side of my hair always wants to flip-up.  So, I like to go-with-it.  And I'm happy with the look.  :-)

We 3 families share one lawn mower, here on "The Compound."  The other day when our daughter-in-law was cutting our grass, it began to SMOKE!  Eeeek!  Something wrong!  Ask "Pop" (aka "Uncle A.", aka "Dad")

Seems there was an oil problem.  Which took some "babying," to get fixed.  "Pop," son, and 2 youngest "Grands" had *fun* with getting it working again.  :-)  Son and "Pop" worked...  "Grands" watched... "Nana" kept "Grands" from getting into-the-"gunk"!  ,-)

(This Juice looked a bit pink, due to strawberries and etc., in it.  :-))

From: "Greenpoint" A Schenectady Gazette community blog...  Ideas on greener living

""Why are you growing potatoes when potatoes are so cheap?" a friend once asked, and the answer is that potatoes are good at absorbing whatever pesticides they are grown in, and that commercial potatoes are also run through a fungicide bath before being bagged.  Who wants to feed that  to your kids?"

Flowers~~~Food~~~What is it?~~~Yummmmmm

Just a tiny bit, of Sunnyside Gardens Nursery.

  They provide old Radio Flyer wagons, to pull with you, and put your flowers in, and take to the check-out.  And to your car.  They are so cute!

You can get garden decorations there too.  Like these 2 Gnomes.

What they are, I do not know.  But I HAD to take a picture of them!!!!

Remember the Poppy bud...?

And here is the Poppy.  We are sad though, since we had a lot of them, and many seem to not have made it.  -sigh-

Another before-Juicing...

"Uncle A." made his from-scratch Spaghetti and Meatballs and Sausage again.  Yummmmm....  He makes his own sauce, using organically grown, canned tomatoes.  And the meatballs are from grass fed  beef.  With the *bread crumbs* being of my G/F Pretzel Sticks, ground up into a crumb mixture, so I can eat the Meatballs.  The hot Sausage is made from organically grown chicken.

I don't eat the Hot Sausage but it gives a nice "extra" taste to the sauce, from simmering in the sauce pan.

Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!   DEEEEEEEELICIOUS!  And makes 2 meals.

On the Paleo "Auntie" thing....  Agave is a form of sugar replacement which is written of and sold, at the Healthy Eating store.  It's from Mexico but is guaranteed organically grown.  I have yet to bake with the Agave.  But I will....

Actually, so far, I really love the effect of Honey, as a sugar substitute in my decaf.  I know!  I know!  Honey is sweet, sweet, sweet.  But it's more natural than the sugar we buy in the grocery store.
