On the 4th of July, there were lots of other desserts, for rest of the family. But I made these, for my daughter-in-law and myself... We who are staying Gluten/Free. And mostly lactose free and sugar free.
Yes, that is fruit and real whipped cream, layered. And if we *pay* some, for ingesting lactose, so be it. :-) But we had our own yummmmmy loooooking parfait!!!! -grin-
One of those "Surprise Photo Ops"!! -grin- I added some clear dish washing liquid, to the little bit left, of the pomegranate (pink) dish washing liquid.
The pink on the bottom, started rising up, through the clear. I was mesmerized. And I kept clicking... -grin- A "Because-I-Can" photo op!!!

Well, last night was interesting... :-( At 2am, our alarm system went off. And when I say "went off," I mean loud enough to wake the dead, and nearly fracture ear drums. Between ourselves and the Alarm Co., we deduced that no break-in-attempt had occurred. But the system said; "Front door was violated."
Nope.
The Co. has to come over and check it out. Some glitch in the system... Some low battery or something... Well, we know it makes a helllllllll of a lot of noissssssssse!

Whole lot of Phish-ing going on, in town, this weekend. Ugh... Ugh... Ugh... Guess what? I'm not a fan.
Nor am I a fan, of all the illegal substances, which are floating around, during this annual occurrence.
Yes folks, "Auntie" is "Olden". She may have fun with some Hollywood Soap Operas. But this Phish-stuff, is beyond her/me.

I am in love with the bottle you put the soap in and also the crazy pics you took of it in the bottle. also love your water world you created. beautiful. yikes on the scary alarm...at least you know if someone opens the door you will KNOW..
Auntie, When it comes to what you are saying...if it's old that takes a stand...then call me old. I would love for people to have clear heads when around me or hit the road. God gave us brains to think with , why screw that up. Hope your alarm just glitched. xoxo,Susie
ah ha...the phish freaks are in town!
Enjoy the fish freaks, can a door be violated? lol looks like fun was had with the glass too, nice shots
Glad that the Phish are in your corner and not mine this time. ; D not glad for you, though, especially if it is causing property damage or too much traffic. What a miserable way to wake up at that hour of the morning! Glad that it wasn't a real event. Stay cool now...do you swim?
I had to look up Phish - so count me in as "old." Never heard of them.
I keep my dish soap in a bottle too:)
The parfait looks yummy. I have strawberries in the fridge...hmmm.
xo
My neighbor's alarm went off every couple hours or so when they were out of town. Fortunately, my husband and I and the rest of the neighbors on the cul-de-sac only lost one night of sleep because of it. It's funny now, especially when I think of how our eyes popped open at the sound of it, and of how embarrassed my friend was when we made jokes about it.
Parfait? I haven't had one in awhile. It became a "healthy" alternative for a month or so until I realized how many calories went into it; ie. granola, lots of yogurt...
It looks like a delicious dessert!
what a yummy desert...will have to look up Phish...don't have a clue..sorry about the alarm...that is scary especially in the middle of the night...
A dish soap lava lamp! :)
I can't do milk, but I can eat any amount of cream with no problems - so your parfait looks perfect to me. We just made a batch of homemade ice cream with coconut milk and cream - it's heavenly.
Your background looks so nice and cool I want to jump right into it!
Your dessert is making my mouth water this morning! I don't think I'd feel deprived if had that lovely thing set before me!
Not only do I want your dessert. I also want a dip in that pool!
Thanks for visiting Thinking About Home and for your kind words. :)
