♡Ooops, no Title! Shame on me!

(Shadows...  I love shadows, for a Photo Op.)

This is the back (alley) view, of a carriage house, north of our home.  ~~~~~~  It's a bit odd, how buildings go, near us.  All the homes on our block, were built on the land which was once a big estate.  Around us, are big estates, which are still in use.  Needless to say, the 13 houses (ours being one) which were built on our block, are NOT big estates!!!  But we are lucky enough, to be "within-a-stone's-throw" of some lovely old houses.  All this, makes for pretty walking areas, right around home.

We can walk onto the adjacent college campus, via this little walking bridge.  (Btw, I am tired of trying to get these photos to come up, all nice and cropped and clear.  So I'm just posting them, as-is.  Bahhhhh-humbug...)
 ♡*♡*♡
Photo taken from the side of the little bridge...  Hardly any water running in the stream, at this time of year.

We had our killing frosts.  And now, the last couple of days, have certainly been our "Indian Summer."  :-)  I know, there are different versions of "Indian Summer."  The one I use is the....  1st come killing frost and then "Indian Summer" can come.  ~~~~~~~~  How do you tell when "Indian Summer" has arrived, in your neck of the woods?
♡*♡*♡
The  adjacent campus is very "country-fied."  Happily they have made more and more of such paths (above), allowing students (and visitors) to walk along where the roads go.  -clapping hands-  For this, we are most grateful.

Thank you to Dear Readers, for your Happy Ann. Wishes!!!  And yes, we had a very nice Anniversary.  ~~~~~~~~   With my Gluten issues, it's easier for us to plan a stay-at-home celebration.  Easier, because he loves to cook and even makes Escargot in the Shells.  :-)  And there is a great shop, where we can buy other yummy items, for celebrating.  :-)
♡*♡*♡
Isn't it interesting?  How humans seem "wired" to combine any celebrating, with eating?!?  :-))))))))   Yes, it's hard-wired in our genes.  So why fight it?  ,-)

Happy Beaver or Frosty Full Moon!!!

Such a beautiful area you live in and I'd love to live around those type of estate homes! Where our subdivision is built, use to be a farmer's potato field!! lol Love that little walking bridge.

Over here we usually call it "Indian Summer" in October if we get some unseasonably mild temperatures after having had a heavy frost.

Good to hear that you had such a lovely day yesterday to celebrate your anniversary, sometimes staying home is the best:-) xoxo

Celebrations always revolve around the feast.

Pretty paths...so glad that you have access to them. I don't care what you call it, it's been beautiful weather this week, until today when we can see it slipping away.

Oh how I love you read and see your posts. Although I do live in a beautiful sub-divison in central Florda, I do so miss my New York Autumns and in fact miss NY always and long to go back and will when we can, Goddess willing. These pictures reminds me of Westchester County NY and also Orange County NY. I grew up in Westchester and my parents retired to Warwick which is in Orange county. So, for now, I can enjoy your posts and they we have to do.
Peace and Happiness to All !

So nice to see the walking paths were you live. Reminds me of mine!
Indian Summer to me is when it's fall and supposed to be cold out and we have nice warm sunny days!

Oh heck! I missed wishing y'all a Happy Anniversary! Well, sounds like you had plenty of goodies to eat! Should be lots of gluten-free yummies out there to enjoy one's anniversary. Good weekend to ya, then!
