♡Train... *Posse*... Mini *Not Ice/Snow Age*...

"Uncle A." (also known as "Pop," to the Grands)  set up his little train the other night.  Not using all the tracks...  'Cause he wants it just to go around the wee little Christmas Tree.  He already had lots of fun, just doing this, and getting it running.  :-)
And yes, this picture is too dark...

And thankfully, the music it plays, is NOT LOUD.  (I'm very happy about this!!!  -grin-)

My Little Posse
.
"Posse - a large group often with a common interest"
.
"My Little Posse" is a group with a common interest.  But "My Little Posse" is not a large group.   And I like it this way.   "My Little Posse's" common interest is my blog.  And my interest, is their blogs.  Kind of like "Followers."

I have difficulty trying to use some blog's Follow Button.  Why, I don't know.  And I can't use Google Reader anymore, to see new posts.  So, Vee helped me figure out, how to have a Private Blog, where I can install the Blogger Follower Gadget.  And it shows me when "My Little Posse" blogs are updated.   Wheeeeeee...  At last!!!!!  The PERFECT way for me to *follow* blogs.

It's linked to, on my Sidebar.  But set up as Private.  Because I don't like everyone, to be able to read a list of the blogs I prefer.  What if I no longer resonate with a blog?  And take it off my List?  If everyone can read my List, then feelings could be hurt.  Believe me, some people do notice, things like this.  And feelings can be hurt.  -sigh-

That's why I prefer...  A private list...  Just for me.   :-)

'December'
On Christmas day, when fires were lit,
And all our breakfasts done,
We spread our toys out on the floor
And played there in the sun.

The nursery smelled of Christmas tree,
And under where it stood
The shepherds watched their flocks of sheep
-All made of painted wood.

Outside the house the air was cold
And quiet all about,
Till far across the snowy roofs
The Christmas bells rang out.

(The rest, tomorrow...)

When the Victorian Era was having that Christmas, parts of the world were experiencing  "The Little Ice Age."  Me-thinks that now, we are having a "Little No Ice/Snow Age."  World-wide weather conditions come and go, and come and go, over the ages.

Awwww, that picture of Uncle A watching his train go round and round is just too precious for words. Goes to show that there's a kid in every one of us, no matter how old we are:-) I love it!

Your candle with the ring of berries is so darling, such a great idea! I've been lighting all my candles every evening, helps to brighten up the long dark evenings without the harsh ceiling lights:-)

Yeahhhhh, glad you were able to put the "follow" button on your sidebar. I've had mine for a while now and love it, it makes it so much easier to visit blogs and such.

Still no snow here and it's 10F...too darn cold to snow! lol Have a wonderful weekend my friend. xoxo

'Mornin' Auntie! Oh, thank you for putting up a picture of Uncle A and his train! Altho, it would have been grand to see a little boy smile on his face as he watches his train go by! I'm glad he's having fun with it!!!

Something else I'm enjoying is:

reading your little verses at the ends of your posts and comments!!! Loved this one especially as I love to warm my bones by the fire!

Uncle A seems to be enjoying his train. Next year I am stealing your idea with the sliver tray candle and berries and greens. When cleaning out the back cupboard of my kitchen my silver surfaced and I'm going to start using it at the cottage.

I love your idea of a 'Little Posse!'

Trains under a tree are so wonderful. My sister and her husband have a vintage set from my BIL's childhood. It runs, too! They are amazing!

So glad Vee was able to help you to see your Favorite Blog List.

Things are always happening with Blogger...last night, I lost my upper tool bar with all my shortcuts on it. I just about died...then, in about an hour, it was back. Strange but I guess with so much going on with Blogger, those gliches are bound to happen....

Oh! I LOVE Uncle A's train! How wonderful! I bet he is having a great time with it. Does it smoke? No snow here. We are having absolutely boring weather. Not at all Christmas-like. :(
