Have had the same Icon pic (of myself) for ages now. It's difficult to get a pic of myself, which I don't *gag at*. lol. And I've been happy with that one, for quite a while. All of a sudden, I got tired of seeing it. ,-) So I found a cute little flower-thing (above), for a while.

We do not. I only try to watch the whole thing, if someone I really like, is up for an Oscar. Which is rare. Or if someone I really like, might be in the audience. Also rare.

I do envy people who make-a-party out of the Oscars! Must be a fun, yearly thing to look forward to. ♥ ♥ ♥
I do admit to peeking at the pre-Oscar Red Carpet things, on tv, for a little while. Usually can't watch the whole Red Carpet shows, because they interview so many weird people. -sigh- And the people who ask the questions, seem a *bit-brain-dead*. With the silly questions they ask..... Yishhhhhhhhhhhh...

Plus, there will be lovely pics of all the beautiful gowns, on the Net, tomorrow morning. Don't have to watch hours of blahhhhhh, to see the best gowns.

I like the flower icon but I love your photo. It is so nice for newbies to put a face with a blog, I think. ANYway, either way is fine, I think.

I love your photo. I haven't watched the Oscars in years, either. Watched the Grammies for the first time in years and was a huge disappointment. Glamour isn't what it once was.

the only award show we watch is the country music awards because hubby loves the music they play. have never seen the oscar or grammies except little pieces here and there. one reason i don't watch besides the fact it bores me, is i never agree with who gets the awards. it is a sure bet if i hate a movie it will win, or if i love it it will not..
just like the series on TV we LOVE all bite the dust and the others LIVE ON
forgot to say I vote to put the pic back, i like to know who i amtalking to. there are a lot of people who have other things, so nothing wrong with it. when i first started i had my dogs there, my photo is from 3 years ago because i don't like the ME look now
Photos or flowers. Either way is fine. I can see the flowers are a nice change of pace. Since I am one who can pick up a People magazine and thumb through going 'Who IS that???!!!!' at nearly every page, I don't bother with the Oscars or Grammies or any of those. So many better things to do in my opinion.
Nope - the Oscars don't interest me at all. But it will be the talk at work tomorrow. I'm just not into it. But I think it would be fun to so a party!

Enjoyed the wee visit. Won't be watching the Academy, but I hope Merrill Streep wins -- I thought her role as the Iron Lady were amazing.

I began watching the Oscars when I was 9 years old...1953. I faithfully watched them for years and years. I am crazy about movies...have been from when I was a child, going to Saturday matinees.
However...the past few years, "Hollywood" has cranked out terrible stuff, in my humble opinion.
I do check out the pre-show, a bit.
I try to make a point of watching the Red Carpet [which I will post about sometime this week if I get my cleaning done].
And your rose icon for your profile is very beautiful...but NOT as beautiful as you.
I recorded all the Oscars on DVR and will skim through them later today.
