I've always loved illustrations, even as a child. Do you see the way the little girl (in my header pic), the way her hands are drawn? It's a particular style. Perhaps it was more popular, "back in my day" than now. So delicate an appearance.... :-) I always loved it.
Ants! Little ants! We have been invaded with little ants. Ugh... Ugh... Ugh... I simply can't face the issue, till I've digested my breakfast. And "Uncle A." is out to visit with the Vampires. (Having blood drawn, for routine doc tests) He'll need his cup of coffee, when he gets home, before he'll feel like facing the issue, too. Ugh... Ugh... Ugh...
Quick...! Must think of something nicer! Can't end this post, with ANTS...! Bleahhh...
Well, as you can see, I listened to your comments yesterday... And I have not banished Valentine's Day from my blog. ,-))))))))))))))
My quote below, it's one from Oscar Wilde. -chuckle- I just love Oscar Wilde quotes! He had the knack of being rather scathing, but with dry wit. ,-))))))) It was an Art... Love it... I know not everyone does. But......... I do. -grin-

I'm so glad you stuck with a Valentine's Day motif. It's a special day to me. When hubby and I first got together, neither of us had much money. He was in between careers and I was just coming out of a really bad marriage. My first gift from him was on Valentine's Day. It was a large pillow heart which had 'I Love You' embroidered on it. I still have it, 20 years later. Will never part with it.

No, you only have a few more days to go with the Valentine's stuff and then you can't do it for a whole 'nuther year! So ENJOY!
Besides, where else can we go for our Valentine's "fix"? I haven't seen another stickier, gooier, sweetier Valentine's blog anywhere in blogland!
Love the Valentine photos and background! Glad you stuck with it...Good luck with those ants!
hughugs
Ants! Little Soldiers of Fortune and oh, so annoying!
oh no and good luck with the ANTS... the itty bitty ones are the worst ones to get rid of. mother called them sugar ants, the bigger the ant the easier to get rid of them. i bought combat bait and it worked for me
We had those little ants in our last house. Never could get rid of them.
Happily none here at this one.
I like his quotes too.
Ya brought a song to mine....truly it doesn't take much.
OOooooohhhhh, oops there was a little old ant, thought he'd mover a rubber tree plant....
Sorry, I have no self~control.
God bless ya and have a fantabulous antless weekend!!! :o)
Well I love the day of LOVE so I'm fine with still seeing mushy mushy lovey dovey stuff.
Enjoy your weekend and hope that the ants are soon gone.
Leann
Love the pictures you post.. Warm valentine wishes Elaine
Fabulous quote! And beautiful valentines... they just don't make them like they used to.
Lorry about the ant invasion... maybe you should have an indoor picnic?
Blessings, Debbie
My grandmother was an illustrator, for World Book encyclopedias, among other things, and she drew children this way but with more detail. The little girl with a notepad on my blog was one she drew.
I'm glad to see you listened to us and kept up the valentines:-) You are not allowed to take them down until the day after Valentine's Day!!! hehe Aren't I being the bossy so and so today! lol
Yuck, ants! I don't mind them outside but inside...noooooo!! Every once in a while I get those tiny ones that suddenly show up on my kitchen counter (only in the summer time, though, since right now they're frozen somewhere underground! lol) and I don't rest until I find out where they're coming in from. Such pests they can be!
Love the graphics!! xoxo
The ANTS go marching one by one....
my yougest grandson loves this song on youtube! NOT the kind of ants you have to deal with!
Love the illustrations. Love the words...
Thank yo, dear!

Yep, still seeing the little boxes...guess Hootin Anne is, too.
