How You Choose To Spend Your Time...

"Think about how often we all regretfully say that we don't have the time to do "something" (you fill in the blank).  What we're actually saying is that whatever this "something" is, we aren't giving it a top priority in our lives."

A thought provoking, and very short post.   :-)

Yes, and what does that mean that we are not giving it top priority? Fear? Laziness? Other things are actually more important? Hmmm...food for thought.

It's true, but I find that online things are the biggest time wasters and time and time again I've thought of leaving the computer alone (outside of my paid work, which it is obviously a necessity), but to leave it entirely alone once I leave my office and spend my time on the things that matter most, which is being with my family and doing physical things around the house, instead of sitting on my butt in front of facebook or blogging, or whatever.

So.... because I still feel strongly about this, I believe there will come a day where I simply stop blogging and doing most everything online and going back to my old ways, without one regret. :)

I have lots of postcards from my dad. They were sent to him when he was a little boy by his grandpa. When they surface I will be sure to post some. Wasn't it such a wonderful time back then, made the walk to the post office or mail box worth while. Thanks for jogging my memory.

Unfortunately, for me, Linda has a big point! Of course I doubt I'll give it up completely, because, after all, what kind of addiction would it be if you didn't do it at all? :)

It's like the old adage....Don't put off until tomorrow what you can do today....there is so much living to do.

I tend to procrastinate about things that I don't want to do. You post has made me decide to get up and go clean the bathroom. ;-)

What a great quote by Gladys Taber. Good post and something we should all take note of. Our lives are zipping by and in this day and age, we probably spend far too much time in front of our computers!! Really liked the old postcards.

We all have the same amount of time and we do the things we want to. No time is just an excuse. If you want to do something bad enough you will find the time.

Hmmm... a lot of great thoughts here today. Me I'm just getting used to saying that we have something to do even it's just blobbing to get time for myself.

I collect vintage Christmas postcards from the early 1900's and I so enjoy reading what is written at the back of them from another time and place:-)

Some days I feel like there are not enough hours in a day to do everything I want to do and other days I'm so lazy, all I do is waste time on the computer! lol Makes you wonder what we all did before computers/blogging/facebook came along...I can't remember:-) xoxo

I love vintage post cards! I have a collection of letters too. I need to get them out and read them again!

I read Gladys Taber often.

Sometimes I yearn for simpler days and times. At this time in my life it is pretty much what I make it. I can be as simple as I wish and some days I am. I enjoy all the modern technology and hope I am the one using it an dnot the other way around!
