I just love the "Murder She Wrote" re-runs on the Hallmark Ch., weekday afternoons. Just love 'em. Suppose I really should buy (at least some of) the episodes on DVD. :-)

Once upon a time, I didn't care for how her Cabot Cove home was decorated. Guess all the light wood paneling bothered me.... It just didn't seem to *fit.* But now, I'm not bothered by it anymore. In fact, I dearly love inside-her-home scenes. (Other than the predominance of blue, used in the decorating scheme...)

But I do love the Olden Look, of the decorating scheme. Like the multiple pictures on the walls. Her walls aren't totally covered with them, but the use of a lot of pictures, gave an Olden Look to it, to me. Wish there were stills (set pictures) of inside the house sets... But so far, my Search hasn't come up with hardly any. -pout-

During my searching, I found that Angela is appearing in a NYC play, right now.
A return of Gore Vidal's "The Best Man."... Now playing in previews, at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre. At 86 years of age, and still appearing in plays. Wonderful!!! Just wonderful!!!

Ladies like Angela Lansbury, Judi Dench, and Maggie Smith... Are wonderful role models for those like ME, who are certainly *OLDEN* now. In advanced years, they may be. But still active in their chosen trade/interests. Nope, I'll never appear on stage. -grin- But if these ladies are still moving about and have not consigned themselves, to a lack of interest in life, well I should not allow myself to just kind of dry-up-and-blow-away either. :-))))))))))))))))))))

Thank you for all the reply comments, about seeing-or-not the Little Hearts. ♥ ♥ ♥ Which I sometimes use to separate different topics, in my posts, and the like. Seems almost everyone can see the solid Hearts, but a few can not see the empty Hearts. So, I guess my best bet is to use all solid Hearts. :-)

i only recognize and can name the OLDEN actors, because they are olden like me.
152? Yes, I feel about that today. =D
The olden ladies are aging so well. Now what's to prevent you from being on stage? I think writing a blog is a little like being on stage. Don't you?
I rarely watched Murder She Wrote so don't remember her home so well...must try Googling. My niece, on the other hand (only 27 years of age) adores the show because she watched so many of the episodes with her grandmother. She feels about it as I do about the Lawrence Welk show I guess.
A happy St. Patty's Day to you...it is what you make it.
Murder she wrote and Anglea our a favorite of wwell remembered shows .. We all keep going but to another beat but we're still moving.. Yeah Happy St Paddy's Day
You know, I never have watched Murder She Wrote. Not once. I always think of her as Mrs. Potts.
When Murder She Wrote was originally on tv, I use to watch it faithfully, always loved Angela Lansbury:-) I think the first time I ever remember seeing her was on one of Elvis' movies, Blue Hawaii. She played his mom:-) Hard to believe that was back in 1961!!
It truly is amazing how all these "olden" ladies are still going strong with their acting and such. They truly are an inspiration:-) I gasped when I read how old Angela is now, I didn't realize she was that age, she looks fabulous!!
You, dear Auntie, never seem "olden" to me because you're so full of life and fun:-) xoxo
Love, Love, LOVE Murder She Wrote!!! Have them all on DVD. :O Plus, The Goatmother and Goatfather visited Mendocino, CA where much of the show was filmed and the house is. It was so exciting and such a beautiful place. (Sorry they didn't let you go inside though) The townspeople all love Angela and talk about what a lovely lady she is! Why is it there are no good shows like that on TV anymore? Reality TV? Bllyyack!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They are true role models, especially for a stay-at-home like me. I will admit, though, it was very hard to come back home after food shopping. I wanted to do so much more. The weather is gorgeous here.

I love Angela Landsbury...what a great lady!
I am getting more 'olden' by the second. I have always liked Murder She Wrote. I love Judi Dench too!
Hi Auntie!
I love Angela Lansbury - what a classy lady! I think we all need role models like her, the world would be a better place!
I love your quote at the end of your post - I think I would be about 30 most days - today, I feel like I'm about 130!
Hugs,
Barb
Love your quote. I think I would be 30 if I didn't know my age!! : )
I love the three ladies you mentioned. People like them are inspirations for all of us.
Like you, I love Murder she Wrote and Angela Lansbury. It was so interesting for me to see those photos taken of her in 2010 and 2011, and she's 86! Wow, she is still a very striking looking lady. I agree with you that Judy Dench, Maggy Smith, Helen Mirren and the like are a real inspiration to us all. I love the header photo at the moment by the way. I've just read your latest post, and I'm so sorry to hear that your back is playing you up at the moment. Do hope it eases for you soon. Take care. Gentle hugs to you my friend.
I Always thought Angela Lansbury was Beautiful! And I also love Murder She Wrote! Have for years...
Hope your back heals soon!
